As I attempt to plan my career in education and the process by which to do so, I think

that I have the potential to become a good teacher.I hope to be able to teach elementary or
middle school in a suburban area such as olentangy and I believe I could do any subject except
english. I believe I have this opportunity because of certain personality traits,classes and other
references and behaviors that would be beneficial to a teaching-classroom environment.
I took a Briggs test that evaluate my personality type as ISFJ/ISFJ-T(3.2 interests and
personality profiler) which is the defender who has qualities of being good with people but being
consevitive and being able to plan and observer ways to help other which is an important skill
when going into education.The onet interest profiler(3.2 Onet profiler) listed possible career
options such as government property inspector and school administrator meaning that I have
some qualities that are useful in education settings.
Classes that I've taken that would be helpful are teacher academy and I plan on taking
the ACT in the near future (at the time of writing).Requirements for my desired roles (narrow
down later) are a bachelor's degree,an approved program of teacher preparation,past
examinations prescribed by the board of education and 12 semester hours of reading
coursework for early childhood,middle childhood,intervention specialist and early childhood
intervention specialists.I hope to enter BGSU early childhood education program and get at
least a bachelor's degree(3.2 licensure requirements).
I currently lack direct experience (as of writing) but I have a small amount of second
hand experience from professional relations with teachers and hope to gain primary experience
in the future.I have minor experience as a teacher assistant which helped me see expected
professional standards and ethic(3.2 ethic reflection) from professional work,I plan on gaining
more experience with teacher academy.
With my plans in a career layed out I think that my personality being a defender which is
suited for education and education based careers being my second in the onet job finder.My
classes and the requirement that I have prepared to achieve.Finally my experience and
professionalism as well as the ability to function in a classroom all show that I am ready for a
career in education.
