3. Utility Demand Calculation

The consumption / demand calculation of utilities are described in items below:

3.1. Essential Instrument Air

The essential instrument air supplied to Module 07 is used for pre-start and continuous purge of the
control panel, for C-UC-1252001 A/B consumption and for BDV and SDV valves actuation. The
consumptions are described in Tables 1 and 2.

3.2. Non-Essential Instrument Air

Non-essential instrument air demand of Module 07 is based on the air consumption of control and XV
valves and of the Well Service Pump (B-5133002). The consumptions are described in Tables 4 and 5.

3.3. Cooling Water Demand

In Module 07, the cooling water is consumed in Injection Gas Compression Discharge Coolers (P-UC-
1252001A/B-A/D), in the coolers of Injection Gas Compressors (C-UC-1252001A/B) and in Well Service
Pump (B-5133002). The consumptions are described below.

Remarks:

1. For the volumetric flow rate calculation, it was considered the properties of the cooling water return,
with temperature of 55ºC and density of 986 kg/m3.

3.4. Diesel Demand

The Diesel Injection System, located within Module 07, receives diesel from pump B-5133502, located
in Hull. The diesel is intermediately stored in Well Service Diesel Oil Buffer Tank (TQ-5133002) and
then is pumped by Well Service Pump (B-5133002) to the wells for cleaning the risers with PIG’s. The
Well Service Pump operates intermittently with 120 m3/h.

3.5. Service Air Demand

In Module 07, service air is used only in utilities stations. There are four stations in this Module, each
one with a consumption of 10 Nm3/h (ref. 0). Considering a simultaneous utilization factor of 30%, the
module simultaneous consumption is equal to 20 Nm3/h.

3.6. Sea Water Demand

Sea water is fed to Diesel Injection System to be pumped by Well Service Pump (B-5133002) to the
wells, with hydrostatic test purpose. The Well Service Pump operates intermittently with 120 m3/h.

In Module 07, sea water is also used in utilities stations. There are four stations in this Module, each
one with a consumption of 1 m3/h. Considering a simultaneous utilization factor of 30%, the module
maximum instantaneous consumption is equal to 122 m3/h.

3.7. Fresh Water Demand

In Module 07, fresh water is used in utilities stations and in emergency shower and eye wash units.
There are four utilities stations and two emergency shower and eye wash units in this Module.
Considering a simultaneous utilization factor of 30% for utilities stations and for emergency shower and
eye wash units, the module simultaneous consumption is shown in Table 7.

3.8. LP Nitrogen Demand

In Module 07, LP nitrogen is used only in utilities stations. There are four stations in this Module, each
one with a consumption of 10 Nm3/h. Considering a simultaneous utilization factor of 30%, the module
simultaneous consumption is equal to 20 Nm3/h.
