1 Job Set-up
WARNING: BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU USE CONSUMABLE MATERIALS.
OBEY THE MATERIAL MANUFACTURER'S INSTRUCTIONS AND
YOUR LOCAL REGULATIONS.

A. Energize the ground service network (Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-861-001) .

B. Make sure that this(these) circuit breaker(s) is(are) closed:

C. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration


(1) Do the servicing of the waste holding tank.
(Ref. AMM TASK 12-16-38-613-001).
(2) Make sure that the waste holding tank contains 50 l (13.2085 USgal) of
clean water(Ref. AMM TASK 12-15-38-613-001)
(3) Make sure that the potable water system is pressurized
(Ref. AMM TASK 38-10-00-614-001).

NOTE: TASK 38-10-00-614-003 is an alternative water pressurization procedure to


this step. This task is applicable to aircrafts which have an air
compressor installed.

D. Get access to the lavatories.


(1) Get access to the lavatories.

2 Procedure

WARNING: ALWAYS WEAR RUBBER GLOVES, GOGGLES AND


PROTECTIVE CLOTHES WHEN YOU DO THIS TASK.

A. Clean the Toilet Waste Lines

NOTE: It is necessary to start the procedure at the most forward lavatory.

(1) Flush the toilet assembly.


(2) Put 1 l (0.2642 USgal) of a mild vinegar solution or Aqueous Cleaner
(Material No. 08AHB1) into each toilet bowl on the two sides of the aircraft.
(3) Let the toilet bowls soak for 10 minutes.

2 NOTE: It is important not to ignore the cleaning agent soaking.

(4) Put 2 l (0.5 USgal) of crushed ice into the toilet assembly and flush the
toilet immediately 2 times.

NOTE: The ice must be crushed, ice cubes are not permitted.

(5) Do the procedure for all of the toilets.


(6) After 30 minutes flush the toilet assemblies 3 times.

NOTE: It is necessary to start the procedure at the most forward


lavatory.
3 Close-up

A. Do the servicing of the waste system (Ref. AMM TASK 12-16-38-613-001) .

B. Close Access
(1) Dry the area around the toilet with Material No 14SBA1 (LINT-FREE
COTTON CLOTH) .
(2) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tool(s) and other items.
(3) Close the lavatory door(s).

C. De-energize the ground service network (Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-862-001).
