Toxic humans are not going to appreciate your soft heart. They are going to
accuse you of being clingy, needy, overemotional, overly sensitive. They
are going to make the positive aspects of your personality sound like
negatives. They are going to twist your perception of yourself until you don’t
even know what to believe anymore.

Toxic humans are not going to appreciate your transparency, your honesty,
your vulnerability. They are going to make you feel like you don’t have a
right to be happy without their permission, like you don’t have a right to be
sad when it’s inconvenient for them, like you don’t have a right to be angry
when it means they aren’t going to get their way anymore.

Toxic humans are not going to appreciate the effort you put into the
relationship. They are going to take and take without stopping to think
about how much they’re draining you. No matter how much you offer them,
no matter how much you sacrifice for them, they are always going to want
more. Their expectations for you are always going to be higher than the
expectations they have for themselves. They are hypocrites. They don’t
play fair. They are completely fine with trapping you inside a one-sided
relationship.

Toxic humans are not going to appreciate your forgiveness. They are not
going to change after you give them another chance. They might trick you
into believing they have learned their lesson and are going to grow from
their mistakes, but that is never actually going to happen. They are going to
keep trying to get away with as much as humanly possible. They are going
to do whatever benefits them the most, because your mood doesn’t matter,
as long as it doesn’t negatively impact them.
Toxic humans are not going to appreciate your value. They are going to
make you feel like you’re worthless, like you’re not worth the effort it would
take to change or even the time it would take to send a text. They are going
to lead you to question your beauty, your personality, your mind, every little
thing about you. They are going to make you feel even more insecure than
you were before they walked into your world. They are only going to bring
you down.

Toxic humans are not going to appreciate your selflessness. They are
going to use it to their advantage. They are going to find ways to
manipulate you, to use your emotions against you, to fool you into giving
them whatever they want. That will always be their main goal. It’ll always be
about them.

Toxic humans are not going to appreciate your soft heart. They are not
going to appreciate your kindness. They are not going to appreciate your
inner beauty.

Even if you do all of the right things, they are still going to do what is best
for themselves. They are never going to give you the romance and
appreciation you deserve. They are never going to rise to your
expectations, so you might as well let them go now, before they can hurt
you any worse.
