GUIDELINES ON THE DISTRIBUTION AND UTILIZATION OF THE REGIONALLY
DEVELOPED SELF-LEARNING MODULES (SLMS)

TO: Schoots Division Superintendents

1. Pursuant to DepEd Order No. 12 s. 2020 (Adoption of the Basic Education Learning
Continuity Plan for School Year 2020-2021 in Light of the COVID-19 Public Health
Emergency), specrfically on the provision of access to appropriate, quality learning resources,
DepEd Region 5 through the Curriculum and Learning Management Division (OLMD) initiated
the development of contextualized Self-Learning Modules (SLMs) which aim to provide
learners with a basic material for continuity of learning.
2. In consideration of the principles on instructional planning and standards for Alternative
Delivery Mode (ADM) learning resources, the Self-Learning Modules (SLMs) in all learning
areas for Kinder to Grade 10 learners were prepared by selected teachers and supervisors.
3. In line with this, the Schools Division Offices through the Curriculum Implementation
Division (CID) shall ensure that all public school learners are provided a copy of the SLMs
whether in printed or digital copies. The Self-Learning Modules (SLMs) can be accessed in
this link: https://bit.lv/3QcHJos The official DepEd account will be required to access the
modules. Uploading of modules will be in tranche. Users may periodically check the drive for
updated folders.

4. The Guidelines for the Distribution and Utilization of the Self-Learning Modules (SLMs)
are found in Enclosure 1. Other attachments to this memorandum are the following:
Enclosure 2 - Learning Activity Sheet Sample and Suggested Template
Enclosure 3 - List of Resources/Sites

5. The Curriculum Implementation Division is expected to conduct an orientation to


supervisors, school heads and teachers to communicate the guidelines on the utilization of
the SLMs. lATF and local orders and protocols must be followed in the conduct of orientation
