READING OF THE PREVIOUS MINUTES


The minutes of the previous meeting was read by Ms. Fely Angelica
Balanquit. It was moved for approval by Mrs. April Jelyn Tuba and was seconded
by Mr. Leo Uy.

This LAC Session aimed to discuss the following topics:


1. Classroom Management
2. Other Related Concerns

OPENING PROGRAMME

1. Interfaith Prayer
a. The prayer was led by Mrs. April Jelyn S. Tuba, Grade 11 STEM Adviser.

2. Philippine National Anthem


a. The national anthem was conducted by Mrs. Rona T. Mora, Grade 11 GA-
1 Adviser.

3. Attendance Check
a. The checking of attendance was spearheaded by Mr. Crisanto T. Siervo,
MT-II/SHS Department Head.
4. Call to Order
a. The session was called to order by Mr. Crisanto T. Siervo at 1:00 PM.

DELIBERATIONS/AGREEMENTS:

1. Classroom Management
a. Mr. C.T. Siervo distributed the curriculum forms and asked the body to utilize
the Curriculum Form No. 4: Monitoring Checklist for Classroom Management
and Curriculum Form No. 5: Monitoring Checklist for Classroom Management
(Ensuring and Maintaining Clean, Conducive, Secure, and Energy-Saving
Learning Environment).
b. Mr. Siervo emphasized and discussed the items to be observed in each
curriculum form.
c. Mr. Siervo presented the following:
Classroom Management is a systematic designing of the class to create
conditions in which effective teaching and learning can occur. It is the
teacher’s ability to manage classroom effectively and efficiently.
d. Mr. Siervo recommended some points in classroom rules:
 Develop no more than seven (7) rules for the classroom
 Involve students in rules setting
 Keep the rules brief, and state them clearly
 Explain the rules thoroughly, and discuss the specific consequences if
they are violated
 State the rules in a positive way- avoid statements that are worded in a
negative way such as not allowed
 Post the rules in a location that all students can see
 Discuss the exception in advance so that students understand them
e. Mr. Siervo presented some tips for Managing Classroom Behavior
 Build relationships by accumulating a psychological account
 Preserve your classroom momentum at all costs
 Deliver interesting, fast-paced organized learning experiences
particularly
 Be sure your rules and expectations are clear

2. Other Related Concerns


a. No other concerns were raised by the body.
3. Adjournment
a. There being no other related concerns discussed, the session was
adjourned at 5:05 PM.
