Week 1 :-
1. Select a site on Map (using aerial photogrammetric concept taught in
First year survey). Elaborating its surroundings and explaining
Architectural, geographical or any other feature of the selected site.
Site can be chosen anywhere on the globe.
2. Take any dimension of plot.
3. Draw a 1BHK house layout for it on AutoCAD.
4. Draw a 3D diagram of house using any architectural software.
Week 2 :-

2. Slabs
3. Column
4. Type of foundation
5. Dimensions not necessary but understanding where to put beams, slabs etc
is required.
6. You can show it in one diagram or different diagrams.
7. Nomenclature of each structural element like beam 1, beam 2, slab 1
,column 1, Footing 1 etc.

Geographical specifications-

Dunbar is located at 38021’52.O”N 81044’22”W (38.364319,


-81.739539). Dunbar is served by Interstate 64 and WV 25.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has total area of

2.81 sq. miles (7.28 km2), of which 2.80 sq. miles(7.25 km2) is land and

0.01 sq. miles (0.03 km2) is water.

2. Mean sea Level :-


The mean sea level of the state of West Virginia is about
1500 feet.

3. Type of Climate :-

 West Virginia has a humid subtropical climate with warm summers and cold
winters.

 Summers are hot and humid, but the temperatures rarely go above 95°F (35°C).

 Winter is the worst time to visit West Virginia as the weather is cold,
and temperatures are below freezing.

4. Earthquake Zone :-

The Virginia Seismic Zone in the U.S. state of Virginia covers about
8,000 square kilometers (3,100 sq mi) in the Piedmont province.
Earthquakes in the state are irregular and rarely reach over 4.5 in
magnitude.

5. Average wind speed :-

The average wind speeds in this region is between 6 and 12 miles per hour.

6. Average precipitation :-

The precipitation in this region is about 144.5 to 106.2 days.

7. Average snowfall :-

The snowfall in this region is about 32.8 in. to 27.8 in. .

8. Type of soil :-

Monongahela Silt Loam Soil –


The Monongahela series was first established in Greene County,
Pennsylvania in 1921 but occurs in West Virginia, Painting honoring the
Virginia, Tennessee, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Maryland, Ken- state soil designation.
Credit, tucky, and Alabama. The series was names for the Moron- Pediamrgi
gahela River, which drains Green county and much of north-central West
Virginia. The name "Monongahela" is derived from a Native American word
meaning "high banks or bluffs, breaking off and falling down in places" in
reference to the instability of the river's banks. These very deep, moderately well
drained soils are found on alluvial stream terraces in river valleys that are not
flooded.
