Warm up (activity)

Initially the teacher explains the topic:

Uses of the present continuous; The basic structure of the affirmative and negative of
the present continuous; How is it formed?; Exercises.

At the end it's divided into two or three groups of students depending on the number of
participants.

Presentation (activity)
One student from each group will go to the front and the teacher will present them
flashcards (only to selected students). Other students will not to see them. The
flashcards must show someone performing an action.

Practice (activity)

The chosen students must represent the action to the other members of the groups.
It's not allowed to use words only the students can use mimic.

Production (activity)

The first student in each group who guesses the action, will write on the board a
sentence in the present continuous with the verb guessed. All classmates in the group
can help and participate. The student who writes the sentence will be the next to see
the flashcard and imitate another action for their classmates to guess.
The group that has the most correctly written sentences wins. The teacher can verify
the sentences and determine if students understand the topic.

Presentation (activity)

The teacher presents to the group of students the song Fool's Garden - Lemon Tree,
the teacher can use the video for watching and listening or can use only the audio.

In a piece of paper the teacher gives the letter of the song except the verbs in the
present continuous and others words if it's necessary to complement the exercise.

When adults listening the song, they will fulfill the missing words and try to write the
correct words.

Practice (activity)

Students will work on listening, reading, speaking and writing skills when they will
complete the present continuous verbs.

Production (activity)
Every student count the words that was possible to understand with the video. Finally
the teacher will explain all missing words and the group will sing the song and to
develop a complete activity.

The teacher can know how every student developed this activity, even is possible to
analyze and evaluate every student to recognize weaknesses and strength
