Metta Development Foundation (Metta) is a non-profit social development organisation in Myanmar. Metta implements
humanitarian and development activities in various sectors, which are categorised into six sectors: Agriculture and Forestry,
Education, Health, Livelihood, Emergency & Development and Capacity Building for development, working with the most
disadvantaged communities, regardless of ethnicity or religion. Currently, Metta works in Kachin, Kayah, Kayin, Mon and
Shan States as well as in Sagaing, Ayeyarwaddy, Bago, Magway and Yangon Regions.

Vacancy Announcement
Metta is now seeking a very qualified Myanmar National candidate who has experience in Administrative
Management, good communication and relationship with others. Application is invited for the following post.

Position Title : Assistant Administrator (1) Post


Duty Station : Head Office, Yangon
Duration : one year contract system (extend)
Reports to : Administrator

Job Overview
• Ensure telecommunication, front office operations, maintain filing system, assist Head Office Management
Team with administrative duties as requested in Head Office and distribute and forward incoming mail and
prepare outgoing mail.

Key Responsibilities
• Receive telephone calls and response queries, taking messages and relay to respective staff members.
• Respond to the general queries of visitors and provide assistance for any official documentation.
• Ensure to maintain and update the office diary, notice boards, staff contact list, INGOs & LNGO contact list
from time to time.
• Arrange documents, letters and parcel to pick up and send out with local and global carriers.
• Register all incoming and outgoing correspondences (letters, faxes, and courier), documents and other
materials.
• Provide clerical support as needed (photocopying, faxing, mailing).
• Typing of documents as needed.
• Maintain filing system (hard and soft copies) related to organisation letters and documents.
• Facilitate daily appointments of Executive Director and other senior staff with various departments and
guests.
• Assist to Executive Director and provide wide administrative supports as required.
• Perform other duties as required and assigned.
• Must be able to work and handle the assigned tasks under pressure.

Knowledge, Skills and Competencies


• Must have at least one year of similar work experience (University degree preferred).
• Must have good communication skill with people.
• Good organisational skill and attention to detail.
• Should have proficiency in Myanmar and English.
• Should have computer proficiency at least in Microsoft Office.
