I. Course Number : NSTP-CWTS 1

II. Course Title : National Service Training Program/Civic Welfare Training Service

III. Credit : 3 units

IV. Pre-requisite : None

V. Course Description : The course includes the program or activities contributory to the welfare and the betterment of life of
the students and the members of the community and the enhancement of facilities, especially those devoted to improving health,
education, environment, entrepreneurship, safety, recreation, and morals of the citizenry.

VI. General Objectives : At the end of the course, the student should be able to:

1. Be familiar with the purpose, objectives, components of the National Service Training Program
2. Learn and acquire the values and skills in community service
3. Manifest the spirit of volunteerism as good servant of the community
4. Develop and improve oneself as a community leader and implementer of the civic welfare
program as mandated in RA 9163
5. Establish a harmonious working relationship with the community
