1. Salacut Elementary School become the model implementer of EPP because this
school helped students to become holistic individual it means they help the students in
all aspects not only by acquiring knowledge but the students developed different values
and skills and teachers establish entreprenual venture of students in the future. Also
one of the reason is the experiential learning of the students because children also
learn best when they are active participants in an engaging environment. As I watched
the children had the opportunities to initiate activities and follow their interests, but the
teachers are not passive during these initiated and directed activities. Similarly, children
actively engaged and responsive during teacher-initiated and directed activities. Good
teachers help support the child’s learning in both types of activities. They also recognize
that children learn from hands on activities, from each other and from interactions with
the physical environment

2. One of best practices in implementing EPP Program is by letting the students to

explore and learn in laboratory or shop room by this experience as teacher you are
preparing your students in school activities. Also one of the best practices is involving
the stakeholders by this the school administrators, parents, barangay officials and the
community can give full support in implementing EPP program, as we can see to
various elementary schools in our town this stakeholders play an important role in
supporting financially and preparing the school for EPP programs or activities.

3. The different programs to implement EPP are school related activities such as
nutrition month, cook fest, gulayan sa paaralan an md EPP festival. Also giving time to
the students by doing their activities in the shop room to learn different household
chores, using the equipment tools in gardening, nurturing plants in the nursery and
giving them the opportunity and experience in helping to manage the school canteen
and feeding programs.

4. The strategies and approaches they used in implementation of EPP are the following:
First the mixture of content and process. There is balance between the experiential
activities and the underlying content or theory.
Second the absence of excessive judgment. The teacher create a safe space for
students to work through their own process of self-discovery.
Third is the engagement in purposeful endeavors. In experiential learning, the learner is
the self- teacher, therefore there must be meaning for the student in the learning. The
learning activities must be personally relevant to the student.
Fourth is the encouraging the big picture perspective. Experiential activities allow the
students to make connections between the learning they are doing and the world. The
activities build in students the ability see relationships in complex systems and find a
way to work within them.
Lastly is learning outside one’s perceived comfort zones because learning is enhanced
when students are given the opportunity to operate outside of their own perceived
comfort zones. This doesn’t refer just to physical environment, but also to the social
environment. This could include, for instance, being accountable for one’s actions and
owning the consequences.
