ACTION ITEMS
. Approved Minutes from 6/2/20
• Voted that the church remain closed until further notice.

DISCUSSION ITEMS

. Update from Rev. Peter

• Wednesday at the church mainly to record but available if necessary
• The church looks clean and tidy.
• Wendy speaks to the shut-ins every week.
. Outdoor Worship Service(s)
• Worship Team will be involved in planning as well as Nancy and Charles
 • Wireless microphones, hold the service in the parking lot, weather
dependent , FM transmitter could be used with radio from their cars,
social distancing and masks, bring their own chairs, 9:30 AM service
• If it rains, service would be virtual
• July 26 possible day- no online component probably on that day- could
record and show it later perhaps
• August 23- outdoor service
• Sunday, September 13 may be Sunday One in the Sanctuary- if
precautions are taken and trends continue to be favorable
. Formulate Election Process (see current By-Laws, Article VII, sec 3, pg. 11
Also refer to Minutes from 6/2/20 (attached)
• Mail ballots to the congregation with self addressed stamped envelope.
• Mail ballots week of August 3 due back August 24, 2020- tentative dates
• Dale Earl will work on the ballot.
. Possible By-Law revision re: “Emergency Power” (see Article VII, sec. 5 (c),
pg. 12. Perhaps refer to By-Law Committee.
• UCC and Conference are working on language for this so we will wait to
formulate our policy after this policy is available
. Create Technology Team (David Brandt)
• Information Technology Team : need to put together a team with David
• Installation of Audio Visual System is going well
• Working on making it secure
• Equipment in the upper corner of the balcony bolted to the table now
• Training will probably be Thursday after the work is completed
. Discuss future Church reopening. Refer to Safe Church Team. Review
current outlook from UCC. Require plans from our renters.
• Safe Church role in opening the church
 • What will their role be in opening the church and work with groups
looking to use the church?
• Karate School Request to resume renting the church
• AA Meetings - how to pay for cost of sanitizing after the meeting
• Waivers to renters could be a way to re-open the building although a
waiver may be useless
• September Re-opening continues to be our policy
. Review Current Report from Finance Team re: Christian School,
etc. Refer current article from Finance Team in Spire. (attached)
• Finances doing quite well even without rental income
• School negotiations - 20% reduction in utilities until the end of the year-
new contract in January will be negotiated
• How will the school resume its operations? Who will do the cleaning?
. Executive Session at 7:18 PM- Peter left the meeting previous to
the Executive Session. Ended at 7:41PM
