Students will be asked to record one of the most important days of someone's life through Vlogging - an
effective way on which the creator will open themselves to the audience usually from home and share
some of their inner thoughts.

Definition of Terms:

1. Vlogger: Somebody who creates and uploads a video blog.


2. Vlog: A noun, referring to an individual video which goal is to communicate with a wide
audience on a personal level.
The English word “vlog” can be translated as the following words in Tagalog: mag-vlog, makapag-
vlog o i-vlog. Alternate spellings may include abbreviations, informal spelling, slang and
commonly misspelled variations.

IV. Assessment Activity

Goal- The learner will do “vlogging” on how he/she will celebrate his/her grandmother’s birthday
virtually. Text based learners will present some pictures, narratives/portfolios and catalogues.

Role- The learner will act as a chef, layout artist, dressmaker, host, and an organizer.

Audience- These are the learners, teachers, and the family.

Situation-. Hold on to your inner child as you grow older, and that’s how we celebrate birthdays.
Your grandmother will celebrate her birthday and your family decided to celebrate it virtually because of
the pandemic. As a grandchild you are asked to prepare food, backdrop for photobooth, gifts, and greeting
cards.

Product-. Use the following guide in preparing the activities:

(PT) TLE: Cookery - Prepare any of the following variety of salads:


(a) Side-dish salad/Accompaniment salad (e.g. ensalada)
(b) Separate course salad (e.g. chicken macaroni salad)
(c) Dessert salad (e.g. fruit salad/gelatin)
(WW) - Create recipe book about side-dish, appetizer and dessert salad.

(PT) TLE: ICT – Create a backdrop (paper tarp) for photobooth. Measure the place first using available
measuring tools/instrument inside your home to come up with the correct size of paper tarp. In printing the
paper tarp identify the printer and the ink used.
(Note: For those who doesn’t have printer at home, you can use any available materials at home
such as newspaper, magazine, colored paper, cartolina, etc.)
(WW) Express your ideas or realizations on the importance of using accurate measurement.

(PT) TLE: Dressmaking – Sew a simple shawl or “bandana” as a gift for your grandmother (Lola). Identify
different cloth used in creating your gift.
( Note: Gifts for Lola will depend on the availability of materials/resources at home, e.g. apron,
handkerchief, DIY face mask etc.)
(WW) Enumerate steps/procedure in sewing.
