I. Answer questions:

1. When working collaboratively, what are the most important norms and expectations
would you want in writing? Why?
 First is that all the documents need to be submitted on time. The assignments
have to be finished on time to submit, so every members need to give all the
documents or materials to the leader on time or as soon as possible.
 Every task should be divided equally; otherwise, there will be some conflicts.

2. Describe the decision-making strategies used in the meetings you attend most
frequently. How well do these strategies work?
 The decision tree works effectively in planning ideas for a meeting. As the
decision tree looks familiar with mind map, people can use it easily and apply it
for meetings.
 The standard agenda helps us identify information, so the meetings can meet the
audiences’ needs.

3. Chapter 7 of the Cheesebro et. al. textbook discusses several benefits that can result
when you are faced with an interpersonal conflict. Describe an interpersonal conflict you
have experienced and explain which of these benefits occurred as you attempted to
resolve the conflict.
When I was a high school student, my best friend and I had some arguments. We
quarreled every time we met for a week and finally, with the help from other members,
we made up. After this conflict, our relationship was strengthened as we understood
each other better. Conflicts also open cooperative problem solving and sharing
opportunities between us.

II. Portfolio reflection:

Thanks to two powerful lecturers and given learning materials, I received many
useful and important information about conflicts and decision-making process for a
meeting. Before these sessions, I did not know that conflicts also bring some positive
impact on social life such as promoting relationships and team building. I know how
to collaborate effectively with others and make a meeting by myself through this
class and also understand the process of group writing activities. This knowledge will
be helpful for my business project. To sum up, I am grateful for attending this class
in this semester.
