ROAD BARRIER
1. Scope of Work and Work Description

This method statement describes work of installing road barrier. The stage of installing road barrier illustrated
by Figure 1.

2. Work Explanation
2.1 Material
Materials used for road barrier are as follows :
1. Concrete Class
2. Reinforcing Steel

2.2 Tools
Tools used for road barrier are as follows :
1. Bar Cutter
2. Bar Bender
3. Dump Truck
4. Tower Crane
5. Concrete Vibrator
6. Concrete Pump
7. Concrete Mixer
8. Geotextile (using when curing)

2.3 Preparation Work


1. Cantilever installation has been done manually on the outer barrier and inner barrier
2. Reinforcement installing with available stake on the slab
3. Size and elevation setting
4. Installation of anchors accordance with the shop drawing
5. Clean the area before casting
6. Formwork installation and final setting
2.4 Casting Concrete
1. After the formwork installed and confirmed not leak casting can begin using concrete pump
2. Concrete compaction using vibrator
3. After 12 hour age of concrete, open the formwork. If thers is honeycomb, the immediately finisihing
with a mixture of black and white cement according to specification
4. Concrete curing for 7 days by using geotextile and watered.
2.5 Finishing Concrete Barrier
1. After casting concrete is complete and finishing the surface of barrier concrete

3. Quality Plan
Quality assurance works in this Project describes as follows:

The Contractor will carry out following actions to avoid mistakes and to secure the quality.

• Especially, the Contractor will explain the work procedure and materials to be used to the sub-contractor.
• All survey work will be checked by the Engineer’s surveyor.

• All material and shop drawing will be tested and approved prior to commence the work.

• Sampling and Test in the site will be done with attendance of the Engineer’s inspector.

• Result of tests will record and analyse to evaluate the quality

4. Work Scheduling
Work schedule will be planned to follow description on Table 2 and Table 3 below
