Universal Design for Learning (UDL): In this lesson, students will have formal instruction from a traditional
PowerPoint. Later in the Nearpod, There is a link to an EdPuzle video which will incorporate a questionnaire
to go along with the video Lastly, this will have multiple means of engagement because they receiving
information traditionally, next they are watching a video, and lastly they are actively participating by
answering questions that go along with the video.
Lesson idea implementation: . I will introduce the topic of the 6 essential nutrients using nearpod and
google slides. This will look like a traditional powerpoint at first. Then the students will watch an EdPuzzle
video in the google slide that corresponds to the topic of nutrition. The students will be engaged by traditional
learning, and then activily participating when viewing the EdPuzzle.
The students will be assessed on the EdPuzzle video. With the data collected, I will be able to see if the
students have comprehended what was just taught. If not, then that will require more instructional time.

Reflective Practice: I think that this covers multiple styles of learning with a traditional powerpoint and an
edpuzzle video. Also, with students going virtual, Nearpod is a great resource to use when engaging with
students online. I can extend this lesson by breaking the students into groups and having choice boards
available to allow for students to have an input on how they want to participate in class. Near Pod has
countless ways to integrate more technology.
