INTERVENTION PROGRAM FOR STUDENTS WITH LEARNING DIFFICULTIES

An instructional convention is a program or set of steps to help children improve at things

they struggle with. They are designed so that parents and the school can track child’s progress.

Sets of steps undertaken for students with learning difficulties are the following:

1. Break learning tasks with small steps

2. Practice regularly to check understanding
3. Provide regular quality feedback - Feedback is a good way for students to know
quietly whether they are on the right track or need to take a different way
4. Present information visually and verbally
5. Use diagram, graphs, pictures to support instruction
6. Provide independent practice
7. Model what you want students to do
8. Fight the urge to tell students to answer
9. Give students time to think of the answer
10. Allow students to explain the answer
11. Write down all directions
12. Teach perseverance

1. Teach students how to make their thinking visibly and verbally. Encourage them to
wonder out loud and share their thought. Remind them to ask lots of questions, search
for cases and make connections between what they learned and what they already
know.
2. Use technology to increase student engagement when you and your student will be
exciting to learn that they are in control of their learning. Show them how to find the
video you have uploaded and ask them to create their own quizzes based on what they
learn.
3. More trainings more possibilities, you are aware of and how to march technology to
students need the more engaged the students will be
4. Joint a support teams once you have identified who is having learning difficulties,
you need to find them the help they need
5. Develop a leadership program that isn’t based on grade. Often low-performing
students are unable to participate in activities that build school spirit and positive self
awareness. A group that builds leaders through positive activities only just the way to
help a struggling student thrive.
6. Give students different ways to engage in a daily basis. Teachers need to offer
multiple ways for students to engage through classroom discussion and sharing but
also digital collaborations.
