1/ small - large family

Nowadays, there is an increasing trend around the world to have a nuclear family
rather than a big family. Though there are some drawbacks of having a small family, I
prefer to be in a small family rather than in a large one.
It is clear that small families are rising significantly while there are dramatic
decrease in large families. There are several advantages of having a small family.
Firstly, people would spend a small amount of money in a small family while in a big
family they are spending much more for living cost. Secondly, parents in a small
family will arrange enough time to teach and play with their children comfortably,
which obviously improves living standard. Finally, people in a smaller family could
have more time to travel and that would not cost them much money as in a big family.
Because the more number of people there are, the more difficult it is to go abroad or
spend time together happily.
On the other hand, there are some disadvantages of having a nuclear family. The
main drawback is that people in a small family will not have many siblings and also
they may become introverts while in a big family they could have many relatives such
as niece, nephew and cousin and that would improve their personality as well as
knowledge. Moreover, parties in a nuclear family would be small rather than a big
family, which it could be a huge party.
In conclusion, my choice stands with many people who prefer to be in a nuclear
family rather than a big family. That tendency is benefit for economy or budget but it
might effect their personality and the tradition.
2/ eating at home - going out for a meal
Eating is a very pleasurable experience in many cultures. Some people prefer
eating out to eating at home because they think they can save time to do other things.
For me, there is no doubt that I prefer eating at home to eating at some restaurants or
café. Because I find it cheaper, healthier to eat at home and also more comfortable.
Firstly, eating at home is much less expensive than eating in a restaurant.
Obviously, when eating at home we can do the preparation, cooking and serving of the
food ourselves and, therefore, do not need to pay the labor costs of the restarant’s
staff. Similarly, we have no other overheads to pay for such as restaurant rent and high
utility bills. A further cost saving is that we shop for the ingredients of our home-
cooked meals ourselves and can choose those which are cheaper in price.
Secondly, eating at home is much better for our health and general wellbeing
than dining outside. At home, when cooking for ourselves, we can ensure that what
goes into our meals is healthy. We can control the amount of oil, salt to suit our diet
and taste. When we eat at a restaurant, none of these things are possible. At home we
can also cook just enough food for consumption while we are often given too much or
too little food on our plate in a restaurant.
In conclusion, it is my opinion that for reasons of comfort, cost and health,
eating at home is preferable to eating in a restaurant or at a cafeteria. Although I enjoy
eating out now and again and usually do so about once a week, it is not something I
could do every day.
3/ spend time to do things they like or activities good for health
It is obviously tempted to do things we favour but it is very difficult do learn and
maintain good habits. In my opinion, healthy activities should be spent more time than
some useless, unworthy ones, because they are necessary for our future success and
career.
Firstly, picking up some random habits or doing favourite things is quite easy
and seems to be harmless at the first glance, but it is very difficult to switch them back
if they turn out to be bad things. They can be harmful to your health in some way, put
stress on your body, your mind and cause distractions. For example, in your free time,
you can choose a mobile game to play for relax, then you stick to it all the time,
straining your eyes, muscles and loosing focus in real life.
Moreover, everyone’s life time is limited naturally. If you spend too much time
on bad habits, you will not be able to do other more important things. Such as, after
sleeping early, waking up early means you can get ready for your work early, spend
some precious time with your beloved family. This can de-stresses your body
effectively.
In conclusion, a healthy lifestyle is important and helps you in life in a lot of
ways. We should restrain our desires, bend them to healthy tendency and pick up good
habits, suiting the goal of our entire life.
