To Whom It May Be Concerned:

It is with great pleasure that I write this recommendation letter for college admittance on
behalf of Emma Cummings. I was fortunate to have had Emma in both my Accelerated
Freshmen Biology and AP Biology courses where she excelled in both in the academic content
and in laboratory technique. Emma is a tremendous student, active member of the Blackstone
Valley Regional Technical High School (BVT) community and revered and respected by faculty
and students alike.

Emma has maintained excellent academic standing all while challenging herself by
taking all Honors or AP level classes. In class, Emma was always eager to learn and explore a
new topic. She also worked great in all group activities. She was always helping her fellow peers
out by explaining topics at hand and going through questions in depth with her classmates when
completing group quizzes. Emma was always prepared for tests and quizzes and has a great
sense of maturity about her studies. This strong academic work ethic is also met in her shop,
Culinary Arts where she has maintained consistently high grades. Through witnessing her in both
the classroom and in her shop, Emma exhibits extraordinary professionalism, commitment and
diligence. I have every confidence that Emma will mirror this performance as she begins her
college career.

Emma balances a rigorous academic work load with a filled extracurricular schedule
seamlessly. At BVT, Emma is a member of Student Council and serves as a student ambassador
and a peer mentor. Additionally, outside of school, she works as a volunteer for numerous
events, is on a competitive dance team, works as a hostess at a local restaurant and as an assistant
dance teacher. She puts forth 100% effort in all her academics, shop requirements and activities
and responsibilities outside of the classroom.

I highly recommend Emma as a strong candidate to consider for acceptance to your

institute of higher learning. I have every confidence that Emma will continue to be an active
member of society and make her community proud as she embarks on her journey in furthering
her academic career.

Sincerely,
