We would like to take this opportunity to apologise to members and thank them for their
understanding and being compassionate in realising the difficulties our sub-committee had in
organising our Social, Charity and Welfare dinner and events this year.

It had indeed being difficult times for us but I am grateful and thank our beloved members of
the Selangor Bar Committee in realising that during the MCO we were unable to have any
social gatherings and our events had to be cancelled even though preparations had already been
made by our sub-committee.

This year we had prepared and planned 3 events:

1.Selangor Bar Members Night 2020 on 20th June 2020 at The Latitude Hall, Armada Hotel,
Petaling Jaya, Selangor – Cancelled

2. Selangor Bar Annual Dinner (A Nite of Musical Magic) on 7th November 2020 at Concorde
Hotel, Shah Alam, Selangor – Cancelled

3.Charity High-Tea on 24th October 2020 at Armada Hotel, Petaling Jaya, Selangor –
Cancelled

We had already prepared and planned the 3 mega events, but for the safety and health reasons
in regards to the current pandemic situation we had no alternative but to cancel all 3 events.
The safety and health of every members must be the primary concern.

1. For the Members Nite – We had planned to have the event on 20th June 2020 at Armada
Hotel with a price of RM70. We had booked the legendary world class magician and
10 times Merlin Award Winner Mahdi Moudini. We had prepared the poster but
unfortunately due to the current Covid-19 Pandemic the event had to be cancelled.

2. For the Selangor Bar Annual Dinner theme was “A Nite of Musical Magic” on 7th
November 2020 at Concorde Hotel, Shah Alam also need to be cancelled.

3. The Charity High-Tea event was planned for an orphanage at Armada Hotel but had to
be cancelled as well. It was planned for on the 24.10.2020 but the CMCO was
expanded.

Finally, I wish to thank all members of Selangor Bar for their tremendous support.

We hope to continue these efforts in the future and will endeavour to respond to the needs of
our members as far as we can. We hope that once the MCO/CMCO is over, we are able to
organised the 3 events as stated above.
