8. SPECIAL NOTES

8.1 General

Bidder is requested to provide complete information for purchaser

V to evaluate bidder’s proposal deeply in commercial and technical.
The information required in the table of “bidder data requirement”
in this MR shall be submitted completely at bidder’s quotation.

8.2 Exception / Alternatives to M/R, data sheets,

specifications and drawings

Bidder’s proposal shall be strictly in accordance with the

requirements of this Material Requisition.
In case of any deviation or alternative design, it shall be clearly
V mentioned on the bid format titled by Bidder’s proposed
exception/alternatives. Unless otherwise mentioned, it shall be
understood as full compliance.
The bid form for Exceptions/Alternatives requires bidder’s
signature to verify that there are no any other deviations or
alternatives except for those stated in the bid format titled by
“Deviation Request Form”. Bidder shall submit them with its
signature at the time of proposal.

8.3 Technical Conflict

In the event provided drawings specify less stringent

requirements than the design Code, the Bidder shall notify
Purchaser of the discrepancy prior to proceeding with work.

In case of any conflict, the following order of precedence will be

V applied. This order of precedence is mandatory and the highest
priority in case of conflicts with other documentations.
1) All Requirements of material/purchase requisition
including datasheets, specification, drawing, etc as
included in MR except agreed deviation as written on the
aforesaid format.

8.4 Software and Tools

8.5 Language & Unit

V All information submitted shall be in the English language. The

Units of Measurement are generally based on International
System of Units (SI).

8.6 Inspection

1) Bidder shall submit Inspection Disposition Reports (IDR)

within 7 days after Inspection Release Note (IRN) and/or
shipping release note received. The IDR shall have the
following contents;

(1) Narrative details of quality activities performed during

manufacturing and fabrication of the equipment or
material;
V (2) Copies of approved variances to Company
requirements;
(3) All Contactor inspection reports
(4) Copies of bidder quality records as specified in
applicable RT-175 form;
(5) Copies of all NCRs with final resolutions;
(6) Outstanding "punch list" item from pre-shipment
inspections;
(7) Inspection/shipping release

(3) Local training facilities in Saudi Arabia and other

(4) Local representation in Saudi Arabia and other
Middle East Locations

2) A list of Bidder QA records to be prepared, submitted, or
made available for Contractor's and Company's review
and approval. (e.g. refractory installation, welding, repair,
heat treatment procedures, welder qualifications, hydro
testing, coating and non-destructive testing (“NDT”)

3) Bidder is requested to provide complete information for
purchaser to evaluate bidder’s proposal deeply in
commercial and technical. The information required in

8.8 Assembly

V All platforms shall be assembled and checked for the dimensions

at shop prior to packing to eliminate the possibility of miss-
matching at site.

8.9 Submission of Quotation

- With the submission of quotation, bidder shall submit unit

price per tonnage basis for Platform & Ladder fabrication
with his quotation. All the scope of work and supply which are
V specified on Clause 3 and 4 shall include in the cost.
- Bidder shall estimate the price based on the attached
fabrication drawings.(See attachment in Para. 7.5)
- Structural section dimensions as shown in the fabrication
drawing will be modified as per attached on Para 7.4.

8.10 Verification on fabrication work for P/F & Ladder

1) DAELIM will provide the fabrication drawing to the bidder.

Bidder shall review/verify if any correction/additional
V comment is required with respect to the fabrication drawing
and the same shall be informed to DAELIM.
2) Bidder shall determine the split line on P/F & Ladder prior to
shipping and transportation.

8.11 Additional Work

V Any repair & rectification work at the job site due to mis-
fabrication shall be carried out by Platform & Ladder bidder with
his own cost.

8.12 Transporting and Packing

Platform & Ladders shall not be damaged during transportation.

Bidder shall apply a proper packing method for the transportation.

For oversees bidder, bidder shall confirm below container size

and cut the platform and ladder properly to fit container loading.

In addition to the fabricator’s identification marks, each item or

bundle of ladders and platforms shall be marked with a unique
tag number to clearly indicate its associated equipment.

Full sets of Platform & Ladder fabrication detail drawing for the
missing items will be provided later (After P.O)

8.16 Grating Fastening System

As per note 4 & 7 in RT2G-5530-01;

Note 4
Clips shall be “GRATE-FAST GRATING CLIPS” by Struct-Fast,
V Inc (or approved equal) New Boston Street, Woburn, MA 800
327-6719 or Unistrut Canada, Type GF, 800 521-7730.

Note 7
Grating clips other than Grate-Fast shall be submitted for owner’s
representative review and approval.

The bid form requires Vendor to agree/confirm that the only deviations from the Project Specifications and
Documents that it possible are those stated in its proposed exceptions/alternatives listed in the Table attached
hereto. Purchaser has no responsibility to discover, identity, or resolve any others deviations from the
Specifications and Documents that may be contained in the other parts or Vendor’s bid.
If Vendor is awarded the contract, it must comply with all provisions of the Specifications and Documents as
revised only to reflect the proposed exceptions and alternatives that have been accepted by Purchaser.
