1.0 INTRODUCTION
A social entrepreneurship comes up with new solutions to social problems and then
implements them on a large scale. Social entrepreneurs act as the change agents for society,
seizing opportunities others miss and improving systems, inventing new approaches, and
creating solutions to change society for the better.
Social entrepreneurship is the burning desire to create an organization that focuses in helping
humanity by solving societal problems, providing needs, and in the process, the entrepreneur
can make money. Social entrepreneurship is about applying practical, innovative and
sustainable approaches to benefit society in general, with an emphasis on those who are
marginalized and poor.
A) KEY TO SUCCESS
For every entrepreneur or hopefuls, the key to success is to first think of the social benefits of
your venture, even if yours in for profit, then go ahead to satisfy those needs, and the money
will sure come. If the goal is money, one may sure make the money, but may lack in
fulfillment. Entrepreneurs must have eyes that are more than profits to be fulfilled and retire
happily.
B) BENEFITS
Running a socially responsible business can be good for the bottom line. Businesses cannot
exist in isolation with the community, hence every business, whether non-profits or for
profits must be socially conscious of its environment.
C) IMPROVING SOCIETY
Any form of social entrepreneurship that is worth promoting broadly must be about
establishing new and better ways to improve a society. Social entrepreneurs implement
innovative programs, organizational structures, or resource strategies that increase their
chances of achieving deep, broad, lasting, and cost-effective social impact.

Sparkdo Sdn.Bhd uses an organization structure based on functions in the organization. The
firm is divided into marketing, finance, operation and secretary. This structure suits Sparkdo
Sdn.Bhd as this organization emphasizes functional specialties to perform tasks. The
organizational structure will cover all aspects of the management as a business entity. Figure
below illustrates our proposed structure.

Sparkdo Sdn. Bhd. has five partners and they manage, contract and execute the operations of
the business as shown in Table 1.1Sparkdo Sdn. Bhd. has one general manager, finance
manager, operations manager, secretary and marketing manager.

Each manager has his responsibilities to execute the operations of the business. It is very
important for every manager to know his tasks and responsibilities in the company as it will
guide him in accomplishing his job. Table 1.2 describes the tasks and responsibilities of every
position.

2.0 FEASIBILITY ANALYSIS
Sparkdo Sdn. Bhd is a supplier of cloth industry. We act as the intermediary between the
factory, either located locally or internationally, and the customers.
We supply quality jacket and are concerned with customer satisfaction. Our business was
developed to fulfill the demands of the cloth industry. We include delivery services for our
customers’ convenience.
We guarantee that our tiles are of good quality. If our products have failed to satisfy and
fulfill our customers’ needs, we guarantee a full refund of the value of purchase or a
replacement of the same value.
TARGET MARKET
Sparkdo Sdn.Bhd is a new company that is situated in an industrial area which is also near to
several housing developments. The main nature of this company is to supply cloth to our
customers. We believe that Sparkdo Sdn.Bhd will be able to stabilize itself by focusing on
this target market.
There are two major market segments within this target area. Firstly, we made an observation
of the market size of the business. Secondly, we interviewed a person in charge and a
receptionist at the Registration Department and the Statistics Department to get further
information. Lastly, we use questionnaires to get some information in order to build our
marketing plan.
Being the sixth company to involve in supplying tiles in Alor Setar, Spakdo Sdn.Bhd has to
compete with several existing competitors. Table BP shows the strengths and weakness
among the competitors.

Every month our company will contribute RM1000 to Charity House (Rumah Anak
Yatim). With this cost it can accommodate 200 orphans there. The needs for orphans are
food and drink. Our company hopes that this contribution can alleviate the burden or problem
and help the orphans.

We also choosing this business because we believe that teenager and children love more to
stylish. Therefore, we know that jacket can be use for the day and at night.

4.0 CONCLUSION
As a summary, Sparkdo Sdn.Bhd is a company that wants to make it in the cloth industry.
This company can work side by side with other companies in the cloth industry as well.
Furthermore, Sparkdo Sdn.Bhd has increased its effort in varying innovative activities in

terms of technological research and design. This approach is important to capture the local
market.
4.2 OUTCOME 1
We aim to supply jacket according to our customers’ desires. Sparkdo Sdn.Bhd will
continuously strive and cooperate closely with various government agencies and private
sectors to be a successful company. Based on the planning and projection of income and
expenses, we are very confident that this business venture will create a very satisfactory
return on investment from the second year of operation. For the first year, we are estimating
to incur a very minimal loss as we have made a conservative estimate of sales and expenses
based on the fact that the company has just started the operation.
4.3 OUTCOME 2
The business will continuously implement the business strategies, especially on the marketing
aspects to ensure that the business is well known to the customers and we hope to build a
loyal customer base in the second year of operation. We hope this application of financing
will be given due consideration from Bank Pembangunan Malaysia Berhad for us to start the
business. We also hope our business venture is able to become part of the successful
Masyarakat Perdagangan dan Perindustrian Bumiputera (MPPB) in Malaysia.
