Introduction:

I as District Education Officer is responsible for monitoring Educational, Administrative and


Legal activities for schools in District under the Department of Education, Government of
Somalia . I work closely with head teachers. Teachers and CEC in order to improve the quality of
education in our region of Banadir. I

Activities carried out during January


I. Somali education sector planning
II. Observing and assuring school mission and visions
III. Fellow up with school register, teachers attendance book
IV. Fellow up drop out students of the year 2019\2020 standard 8.
V. Checking school building and compound environment

General Observation
 Providing workshops School principles and training school committees
 Providing all facilities needed to the schools.
 Providing enough teaching aids and records
 Delivering transportation facilities for the DEOs.
 Engaging women participation in school management committees
 Disseminate and reinforce the proper use for school registers, teacher lesson plans and
scheme of work.
 Provide instructions accommodating both slow learners and talented learners. Assists
principals in formulating and evaluating annual performance objectives and plans by
providing guidance and making the necessary recommendations for school
development and improvement.

Recommendations
I. Train SNE teachers and their CEC
II. Provision of sanitary beds, education materials, stationaries, sports materials
III. Carry out campaign awareness on community sensation in the community
IV. Training all teachers and CEC by improving quality of inclusive education in the
region
V. Training Girl child education to be given to the teachers
VI. Conducting awareness campaigns on the importance of girl child education and
disability impairment
