Republic Act 8293, section 176 states that: “No copyright shall subsist in
any work of the Government of the Philippines. However, prior approval of the
government agency or office wherein the work is created shall be necessary
for exploitation of such work for profit. Such agency or office may, among
other things, impose as a condition, payment of royalty.”
This material has been developed in support to the Basic Education program
implementation in the Department of Education, Division of Valencia City. It can be
reproduced for educational purposes and can be modified for the purpose of
translation into another language provided that the source must be clearly

Preface
These Lesson Plan Exemplars in MTB - MLE for Grade 2 First Quarter is
created, edited, evaluated, and reviewed by public school teachers, administrators
and supervisors of the Division of Valencia City.
It is initiated by the Schools Division Superintendent of the Division of
Valencia City to (a) address gaps in teaching and learning resources; (b) respond
to the needs, interests and abilities of the 21st century learners; (c) provide teachers
with quality teaching resource that is aligned and consistent with K to 12
Curriculum; and (d) improve the quality of instruction.
Contents included in these materials focused only on the First Quarter
competencies built on the development of learners’ knowledge, skills, values and
attitude.
These materials are subject for validation. Teachers are encouraged to
either adopt or modify according to their expertise and experience, or find another
model deemed suitable. While writing, it was our goal to deliver instructional
success however, champions, who can address limitations can turn this effort
