Content Standards:
The learner demonstrates understanding of whole numbers up to 100, ordinal numbers
up to 10th, money up to PhP100 and fractions ½ and 1/4.
Performance Standards:
The learner will be able to recognize, represent, and order money up to 100 in various
forms and contexts.
Learning Competency and Code:
The learner recognizes and compares coins and bills up to Php100 and their notations.

I. Objectives:
At the end of 50 minutes, 100% of the learners are expected to;
1. Identify the different bills up to 100 pesos and their notation
2. Tell the importance of coins and bills in our daily living
3. Develop patience when working with peers.
II. Content:
Subject Matter: Recognizes and compares coins and bills up to 100 pesos and their
notation.
Integration: EsP and Arts
Strategy: Explicit Teaching, Differentiated Activities, Cooperative Learning
Materials: Real and Play Money (Coins and Bills), flash number cards, pictures,
show-me-board

A. Drill
Teacher shows a picture of a coin and one member from each group will write on
the show-me-board the amount shown. The first group to get 3 points wins the
game.
B. Review
Teacher shows a picture of a coin and call on pupils to identify and describe it.
C. Motivation
Story: It is Ana’s birthday. Her mother gave her one violet paper money and her
father gave her two red paper money. How much did her Mother give her? Her
Father? How much money does Ana have in all?
D. Presentation
To be able to identify the money mother and father gave to Ana, take a look at
these bills. (Picture of paper bills).
Can you identify which of these bills was given to Ana by her parents?

We look at the numbers written on the face of the bill to know its value.
All the paper bills are rectangular in shape and of the same size.
All paper bills have different colors and different pictures of heroes or past
presidents.
All paper bills have “Republika ng Pilipinas” printed.
By looking at these pictures, we can tell that Mother gave Ana Php100.00 and Father
gave Ana two Php50.00, and two Php50.00 is equal to Php100.00. Therefore, Ana received
Php200.00 in all.
F. Application
Group 1: Color the Money Bills nicely and appropriately.
Group 2: Match the paper bill to its correct value.
Group 3: Match the picture of the hero/past president to the correct paper bill.
Group 4: Write the value of the given paper bill.
