PRESENT SIMPLE:
PRESENT PERFECT CONTINUOUS:
Afirmativa: S + V(-s 3 p)
Afirmativa: S + have has + been + V-ing
Negativa: S + haven’t/hasn’t + been + V-ing
Negativa: S + Don’t/Doesn’t + V
Interrogativa: Have/has + S + been + V-ing
Interrogativa: Do/Does + S + V USE: * Acción que empezó en el pasado y continua hasta el presente y no sabemos si terminó o no. Lo
que nos importa es la acción en sí misma, lo que duró, etc.: I have been painting the room for three hours!
USE: * Acciones habituales que se repiten cada cierto tiempo: I go to the cinema every week /How long have you been writing that book?
* Horarios oficiales, verdades absolutas: The train leaves at 5/ The earth goes around
the the sun PAST PERFECT SIMPLE:
Negativa: S + isn’t/aren’t + V-ing USE: * Acción que empezó y acabó en el pasado antes de que ocurriera otra acción también el
pasado: When I arrived at the party, Miguel had gone home.
Interrogativa: is/are + S + V-ing
PAST PERFECT CONTINUOUS:
USE: * Acciones que se realizan en el momento de hablar: I am using the computer now.
* Acciones temporales en el presente: They are building a new school in this street. Afirmativa: S + had + been + V-ing
* Planes de futuro: I am leaving to London tomorrow.
Negativa: S + hadn’t + been + V-ing
Afirmativa: S + V-ed (-2ªc. v. irreg) ....... USE: * Una acción que estaba en proceso antes de una segunda acción/tiempo definido en el
pasado: The grass was wet because it had been raining all night long.
Negativa: S + Didn’t + V ......
MIGHT: * Posibilidad muy remota: It might rain tomorrow. (Pudiera ser que lloviera mañana)
ORACIONES DE RELATIVO EXPLICATIVAS:
MUST: * Oblicación: You must be quiet here. (Debes estar en silencio aquí)
* Añaden información extra. * Prohición (negativa): You mustn’t smoke here. (No debes/está prohibido fumar aquí)
* Va entre comas * Gran posibilidad: He must be home now. (El debe estar ya en casa)
* Nunca se puede sustituir who, o which por that.
HAVE TO: * Obligación: We have to wear school uniforms. (Tenemos que llevar uniforme en la

* Sugerencia sobre hacer o no algo: Should I give you my passport now? (Debería darle

ORACIONES TEMPORALES:
WOULD: * petición educada: Would you move your car?
* Son oraciones que acompañan a ideas de futuro
* Van introducidas por partículas como : before (antes de), after (después de), when
(cuando), until (hasta que), as son as (tan pronto como), as long as (siempre que).
* Para planes premeditados de antemano: We are going to travel to Greece
this summer. (Vamos a viajar a Grecia este verano)
USO DEL PRESENT CONTINUOUS:
ORACIONES PASIVAS: * Planes de futuro fijados de antemano con seguridad: I am leaving to London
tomorrow.
* Las oraciones pasivas siempre tienen un sujeto paciente que originariamente es el
objeto del verbo en activa:
CONDICIONALES:
John built that house That house was built by John
John construyó esa casa. Esa casa fue construida por John CONDICIONAL ZERO: (100% seguro)
* El verbo en pasiva se forma con el verbo to be + el participio del verbo principal. Al IF + PRESENTE , ......... PRESENTE
pasar de activa a pasiva el verbo be tiene que estar conjugado en el mismo tiempo que el verbo If you water a plant, it grows
activo.
Si riegas una planta, crece.
Activa: S + VT + O
Pasiva: O + BET + V-ed (3° col.V. irreg.)
PRIMERA CONDICIONAL: (posible)
John built that house built=pasado simple
IF + PRESENTE , .........WILL + V
That house was built by John was=pasado simple
If I win the lottery, I will buy a new house
Ejemplos:

el teléfono)
USO DE BE GOING TO:
* Para predicciones que se pueden anticipar desde el presente: Look at those
black clouds. It is going to rain soon. (Mira esas nubes negras. Va a llover
pronto.)
