SPEAKING WORKSHEET
Speaking is an interactive process of constructing TARGET
meaning, involves producing and receiving and processing LEARNERS
information. Its form and meaning are dependent on the :
context including the participants, collective experiences, GRADE
the physical environment, and the purposes for speaking.

OBJECTIVES
At the end of every activity, the students will be able to:

a. recite sentences with the correct use form of verb;


b. construct simple asking questions;
c. use modals appropriately in a sentence and;
d. utter command and request sentences

CHINESE WHISPERS
AIM ✓ To speak and convey clearly stated messages with
the correct form of verb.

MATERIAL ✓ Strips of paper

PROCEDURES ✓The teacher will group the class into 4 groups with 5-10
members.
✓Each group will choose a representative to pick a strip of
paper in the box.
✓Each group will form line facing backwards to the first
person.
✓The first person who picked a strip of paper will whisper
the sentence to the next person and the message will be
passed all throughout the members.
✓The last person will run at the front of the classroom and
say the sentence aloud.
✓Whoever group who say the correct sentence will be the
winner.

WHO ARE YOU?

AIM ✓ To complete an information sheet with personal details by


asking and answering questions. The students could ask
present simple questions with question words: what, where
and how.

MATERIAL ✓ Information sheet

PROCEDURES
✓The teacher will instruct the students to group themselves into two
(by pair).
✓The teacher will provide blank information sheets.
✓The students will fill in information on their desired identity.
✓After that, the students will memorize their new identity and they
will swap their information sheet to the other pair.
✓Each pair will raise five questions out from the information sheet
and the they will ask one another.
✓Whoever pair who got the most of the answers win.

FACE THE CHALLENGE

AIM ✓ To try out challenges in teams and fill in a chart to show what
members of the team can and can't do.

MATERIAL ✓ Worksheets

PROCEDURES
✓The teacher will instruct the students to work in groups of three.
✓The teacher will provide one copy of worksheet per group.
✓Then, the teacher will tell the class to put their names next to the first
challenge on the worksheet.
✓ In their groups, the students take turns to try out the challenge and
then check the 'can' or 'can't' column next to their name according to
whether they completed the task successfully or not.
✓If one member of the group did not finish the given task, the other
member of the group will perform to complete the chart.
✓The first group who finishes first the tasks win.

PROCEDURES ✓The teacher will group the class into 12 groups.


✓The teacher will give worksheets per group.
✓The students will ask permission with the use of modals
(permission, request, offer) (agreeing and refusing)
✓The picture with check mark pertains to (permission,
request, offer) and the picture with cross mark pertains to
(agreeing and refusing)
✓The teacher will demonstrate the activity so that the
student could follow.
✓The students will start to portray the activity to the class.
✓After they demonstrate the activity with their group
members, they will roam around the classroom asking for
giving/refusing permission with as many different partners as
possible.
✓The activity will last for 20 minutes, whoever person who
