Write ups for commercial building

Rationale

Commercial buildings are one of the important structures in a community since it is one of the main
sources of economic in a community as it embodies the improvement and growth of a certain area. For
this project, commercial property with retail stores in designed with a modern design. The store
composed of a convenience store located at the ground floor and a restaurant and retail store on the
second floor. The aim of the project is to design a sustainable commercial building that will cater
different retail shops and store. To design a commercial building, it is very important to take into
consideration a proper flow and circulation between spaces. It is important to design carefully about the
spaces that will be included in a certain floor.

Solution/ about the plan

One of the first things to consider when designing a commercial building is to locating spaces that
would work for specific uses, since it has a convenience store, it is designed with floor to ceiling
windows so that the products and the people that are inside the facility is seen from the inside-out, it is
also for the safety and security of the users as they will be seen from the outside. The façade of the
structure is designed with vertical latticework with vegetations, the plants will help reduce the air and
noise pollution coming from the street. Going to the second floor, it is designed with a restaurant and a
retail shop, the restaurant is located on the front part of the structure so that customers will have a
better view of the busy street while they enjoy their meal, every seat of seat per costumers is divided
with lattice panels. the second floor also have a retails shops for a certain merchandises, it also designed
with a floor to ceiling glass windows so that the shop can display their products that can be seen by
consumers.

Write ups for park/esplanade

The main goal of this project is to provide a space for a diverse group of age to have an opportunity for
the to develop their social, emotional and cognitive skills. This project aims to design unique and
innovative a park focusing on the needs of the users. The park is designed with a playground, that
accommodates the need of children with disabilities by considering to design with the ramps and
pathways intended for wheelchairs for them to have access to the park, ensuring the equipment are
suitable for children with special needs, path walks and pathways are also designed with tactile strips as
a guide for blind users. Seating areas and open lawns are also considered to include in the design for the
users who want to have peaceful time while they enjoy their stay in the area. Another main focus of this
design is the food park where it caters different type of shops and kiosks for the customer to enjoy and
explore, it also has a live band stage adjacent to the alfresco dining so that users may enjoy their meal
while having the view of the sea with a background music coming from the live band. And the last point
of the design the skatepark, it is a recreational space intended to sustain a healthy community, it is a
place where athletic and dedicated youth gathers.
