understanding and tirelessly inspired them to continue their journey despite of

the troubles along the path.

To their families, especially their parents, who gave them non-stop

financial and moral support as the researchers gather information during the

survey if their computer to encode data.

ABSTRACT

The researchers scrutinized the utilization of Mnmeonic devices as part of

the study habits of the students in Caloocan City Business High School. Hence,

the study aimed to answer the following questions:

1. What is the understanding of the students regarding mnemonic devices?

2. What are the effects of using mnemonic devices?

3. How frequent are mnemonic devices?

In order to answer the research questions, a survey was conducted in the

Caloocan City Business High School.

Introduction

According to the Mysteries of the World, our life becomes happy

and systematic because of our memories. If we don’t have the ability to

remember, we wouldn’t know the sequence of events that occurs

everyday, and once we wake up first thing in the morning, we wouldn’t

know who we are. We wouldn’t be able to know the accordance of events; we

won’t be able to learn from our past mistakes, and prepare for the future.

A human’s memory is complex, even if there is already a variety of

literatures being released after studied about the human brain and its way of

memorizing. There are still a lot of things left undone and undiscovered by

researchers, and they are still continuing to make a breakthrough throughout the

years of innovation and discovery lead by science, and its wonders. The memory
is being depicted as a cabinet full of knowledge, and where information is stored.

Others pertain to the memory as a Neural Supercomputer that is embedded deep

in our minds.

According to Dr. Iroise Dumontheilng of the University College London’s

Institute of Cognitive Neuroscience, it is often not easy for teenagers to

maintain their focus in class and stop their minds from wandering. Or to try not

to take notice of the distractions that surround them. She also mentioned that it
