PILA ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

HEALTH AND SAFETY PROTOCOLS
S.Y. 2020-2021

Everyone's health is the highest priority at Pila Elementary School especially in this trying
time of pandemic. All precautionary measures or standards are strictly observed for the safety of
ALL.

HEALTH SCREENINGS

We screen everyone who enters the school premises, including all the
teaching and non-teaching staff, parents, utilities, parents and visitors. We
let everyone to write their names and indicate the body temperature on the
forms prepared for contact tracing purposes. Spraying alcohol on their
hands is also done.

WEARING OF FACE MASK AND FACE SHIELD

Everyone is required to wear a mask and a face shield upon entering the
school to effectively avoid the transmission of COVID-19.

OBSERVE SOCIAL DISTANCING

Two meters social distancing is maintained to limit or avoid the spread of

the virus. All are advised to avoid spending time in crowded places or in groups,
thus, alternative work arrangement was made to maintain social or physical
distancing.

ENHANCED DISINFECTING AND UV LIGHTING

Thorough cleaning, sanitizing & disinfecting of the school is

done almost everyday especially the office and faculty room.
Major spraying of classrooms are weekly conducted by the
school utilities. Hygiene stations with alcohol dispenser,
soap in each wash area and disinfecting mats are made
available. All class advisers are advised to put all the answer
sheets and modules inside the designated room for
disinfection using UV lighting, then subject teachers may only
retrieve them for checking after 3 days. Tables and chairs
being used in the MDAR (Module Distribution and Retrieval)
are also disinfected before and after as well.

MORE ACCESS TO LEARNING

A LEARNER SUPPORT SYSTEM was established to ensure

and make learning more convenient to our students for which
when they have questions about their modules, they don’t
need to let their parents to come physically in the school for
some clarifications or questions, instead students are strongly
advised and encouraged to reach their advisers or subject
teachers through call, text, face book, messenger, school fb
page or any SNS. This system is also a way of lessening or
minimizing the chance of spreading the virus for it will no
longer require parent 's physical interaction with the teachers.

SAFETY FIRST

We strictly follow all safety protocols recommended by the

IATF / DOH/ Local Government / DMC-DRRM to ensure
the safety and health of each teaching and non-teaching staff,
utilities and parents. All precautionary measures are
observed. Signage of wearing mask & face shields plus
social distancing are posted in every school building vicinity
plus constant reminder on the GCs, information board, etc.
and continuous update are also channelled to respond and
become more resilient to this pandemic situation.
