ME WITHOUT WATCH
WHAT IS A WATCH?
Either it is a Wrist Watch, Wall Clock or Pocket Watch, watches are one of the most important device
used by human beings in their daily lives. Watches are important in keeping trach of the time during day or
night. Aside from that wearing wrist watch is also considered as fashion statement, a symbol of wealth, or a
grim reminder of impending appointments throughout the up-and-coming day.

Since watches are used in keeping track of time, I think if watches are not invented, I will still be
observing the location of the sun to know what is the time like what our ancestors did before.
The sun always rises in the east and sets in the west, therefore you can
tell what the time is just by looking at the sun’s location in the sky. When
you look east and the sun is on the horizon it mean that the time is
approximately 6:00 AM. If the sun is about 45 degrees up from the horizon
in the east the time should be arounf 9:00 AM. When the sun is directly
above your head that means its noon. If the sun is about 45 degrees above
the horizon in the west the time should be approximately 3:00 PM. Finally,
when you look to the west and the sun is on the horizon it means that the
time is around 6:00 PM.

WHAT IS A PHONE?
Phones, Mobile Phones, Cell Phones or whatever you call it
is primarily used in communicating with other people. But with
the advancement of technology, it has now several features that
can be modified and added according to your taste and likes.
You can play games, music or videos, research, keep track of the
time, and so many more.

ME WITHOUT PHONE
Today, do not using your phone in a day is very hard, right? So if I will live in a world where phones
don’t exist , I think I will use telegraph as a way of communicating with my far away loved ones even if it takes
a lone time for it to reach the destination. Instead of online games, I think I will play more outside and when it
comes to watching videos, I will just watch plays in person.

WHAT IS A LIGHT BULB?

Many in todays home uses light bulbs. Light bulbs turns
electricity into light and are primarily used in lighting a dark
space especially at night. This becomes possible thanks to
Thomas Edison and up to 20 other inventors who contributed to
the invention of light bulbs.
 ME WITHOUT LIGHT BULBS
Candles or oil lamps can be used for lighting purposes although
light bulbs are far more brighter than these two, if the light bulb was not
invented, I will still be using candles or oil lamps at night like what our
ancestors.

WHAT IS
A CAR?
Car or automobile has been giving people comfort
when travelling for a long time now. Cars are used in
transporting people and baggage or goods. Since the
first launch of car, the Model T by Ford, additional
features, controls and design has been added making it
more complex but more comfortable, reliable and easy
to use. Some of these added features are air-
conditioning, navigation system and in-car
entertainment.

If cars weren’t invented but bicycles or at least motorcycles are present, I think I will utilize it whenever
I have to go to a certain destination. But if all vehicles are non-existent, I will have no choice but to walk to get
to my destination like what my aunt, uncles and parents did when they were studying in the past.

PRINTING PRESS
WHAT IS A PRINTING PRESS?
Printed materials like magazines, newspapers, books and the famous today-modules are now easy to be
distributed to many people because of printing press. Printing press is a mechanical device that transfers print or
ink in a print medium like paper and cloth. Printing press enables us to share large amount of information
quickly and in huge numbers.

press is important in
today’s life and work.
Without printing
press, I think people would have to copy the whole book by hand in order to create another copy just like in the
past. And I think I would have to do so if I want to have a copy of an information. Learning would also be
slower since learning materials are difficult to reproduce.

ELECTRICITY
WHAT IS ELECTRICITY?
Electricity is defined as a flow of electric charge. And in
much general term it is the one powering almost all the
appliances, gadgets, manufacturing plants, buildings, houses
and even vehicles to operate.

ME WITHOUT ELECTRICITY
Just thinking about it, I think a life without electricity is much harder. Imagine having to work all day
and you still have to work in order for you to have air using a hand fan. That is what I think my life would be if
we don’t have electricity. Using a hand fan to access air instead of just plugging the electric fan or air condition.
If electricity doesn’t exist, I will have to live a life with no gadgets like laptop or cellphones, no appliances like
rice cookers, microwave oven, or refrigerator and at nigh it will be dark inside our house, but I will not have
much choice but to put up with it and work 3 times harder in order to do the things that you can do in a split of
second if electricity does exist.

INTERNET

WHAT IS INTERNET?
The invention of internet was a breakthrough for it change the way people live especially in the world of
work, it also give way to globalization. Internet is being used by people to research information, send electronic
mails and newspapers, download music and videos, shopping and job hunting, almost all activities by humans
that you can think of can be completed through the use of internet of with the help of it.
ME WITHOUT INTERNET
Internet is really important in my life as a college student, it helped me a lot in completing my tasks but
if internet doesn’t exist I
think studying will be a lot
harder because if I want to
know something I will need
to go to the nearest library
that I can do in a single click
with internet. News will be
in the form of television,
radio or newspapers and shopping will be in traditional way wherein the customers will have to go to the
market.

ME WITHOUT REFRIGERATOR

WHAT IS A REFRIGERATOR?
A refrigerator is machine for keeping products such us food and drinks cold. It serves as a food
preservation method for it leghten the shelf life of a product whether it is raw or processed already. The idea
behind is that when the food is kept in a low temperature (cold), the activities of bacteria, fungi and other
microorganisms that can spoil a food is slowed down, that’s why it is common in households to place raw
products inside of refrigerator instead of processing it.

ME WITHOUT REFRIGERATOR
I have been always a fan of drinking cold drinks whether it is softdrinks, water or juice and in
our house, we normally just wash products like meat, vegetables, fish and fruits and place it inside the
refrigerator. If refrigerator wasn’t invented I think some ships are still sailing the ocean to get ice blocks from
Antarctica like in the past and I think I will have to settle for warm drinks. I think food processing method like
fermentation, drying or salting will be common in our home and we will cook meat, fish or vegetables right
after we bought it in the market.
