a. Interpret the basic folk dance steps.


b. Execute the basic folk dance steps in time with the music.
c. Appreciate the skills in folk dance in their performances.

Let’s proceed to our discussion, this is a


continuation of our previous lesson, which is

The next step is Step Swing. Please read it loud
(1) Step R (L) foot in second position (ct. 1), raise
and clear Ms. lovely. and swing the L (R) foot in fourth in front or across
the R (L) in front (ct. 2). The toes of the raised foot
are pointed downward and the knee is straight or
slightly bent. This is done in any direction.
Music: ¾ time. Counts 1, 2, 3.

(2) The movements are the same as above, but


take two counts for stepping and one count for
raising.
(Perform the Step-Swing)

perform the Step-Swing.
(I will demonstrate in front of the class the Step-Swing-Hop
Step-Swing) Music: ¾ time. Counts 1, 2, 3.

Step R (L) foot in fourth in front (ct. 1), raise the L


Next one is Step-Swing-Hop. Please read it (R)
