I – OBJECTIVES:

- At the end of the period the students are expected to:

 Discuss the 5 Fundamental Steps in Folk Dancing

 Introduce the proper execution of steps

 Role play the proper execution of steps

 Return the demonstration by the students with proper execution of steps in dancing

 Make an output regarding the subject matter

II – SUBJECT MATTER

 The 5 Basic Fundamental Steps in Folk Dancing

III – MATERIALS

 Visual Aid, manila paper, marker, chalk, scotch tape, laptop and speaker, notebook and

ballpen

C. Presentation

“Now Class are you familiar with the 5 fundamental

steps in folk dancing?”

“Yes Sir”

” There are five fundamental or basic position in

dance that are commonly termed as 1st position, 2nd

position, 3rd position, 4th position, and the 5th

position of the feet and arms.”

“1st position raised arms to a circle in front of the


chest and bring hells close to touch toes apart, 2 nd

position open arms sideward, raised below

shoulder level with graceful curve and bring feet

apart sideward, 3rd position raise one arm overhead

while other arm remains in 2nd position and bring (Students Listening Attentively)

the heel of one foot to touch the instep of the

other fool, 4th position raise one arm in front of

chest in a half circle, while one arm remains

overhead, 5th position raise both arms overhead in

a graceful curve and bring the heel of one foot to

touch the toe of the other.”

than the foreign folk dances because the steps of

foreign folk dance are very much complicated than

our steps here in the Philippines, maybe because we

have a different Traditions, beliefs, perspectives and

etc. so that is the difference of the Foreign and

Philippines Folk Dance Steps.”
