A. PRE-ACTIVITY:
1. REVIEW: Questions:
What is a hypothesis?
How is a hypothesis written?
Why is hypothesis necessary in research?
2. MOTIVATION: (GUESSING GAME) Th teacher mentions some random words/uncommon words used
in research and the students will give the meaning by definition or giving off examples.

B. ACTIVITY INSTRUCTION:
The students will list down 10 uncommon words used in their respective research paper.
Give the meaning of each word.
Use it in a sentence.

C. ANALYSIS In research, some words may be jargon for the common tongue especially if the research is from
a specific area of discipline. The definition of terms/ glossary of terms in research is where you will usually find
the definition of those important terminologies.

D. ABSTRACTION Questions:
What can be found in the definition of terms section of your research paper?
Why is there a need to define words in the definition of terms section of your paper?
