Activity 1.
Answer the following questions thoroughly.

1. In your point view, how can you see and describe Rizal as a hero.

As a Millennial generation student and citizen of the republic of the

Philippines. I will base my personal description of my point of view as what I sees
in this modern society, learnings from books, schools, and from the cyber world
about our Philippine hero. Jose Rizal as a man with pride, courage, intelligent,
broad thinker, hardworking, and being an inspirational to the Filipinos.

We cannot deny the reality the behind everybody’s success there are some
people will not appreciate it, instead they will look forward for your mistakes and
trying to drag you down. In Rizal’s case, there are some issues scattered online and
offline that he should not deserves to be a National Hero of the Philippines. In
contrary, there are studies and works shows that Rizal has great contribution to the
freedom of our nation. He wrote a lot of novels, essays, poems, and other types of
writings about miserable experiences of the Filipinos during the Spanish
colonization. The most significant thing that makes me inspired on this heroism is
that, he uses his intelligence for the freedom and sacrifice his life as what other
heroes did.

In simple thought, I can describe and sees Rizal as an exceptional hero since
he possesses different strategies in order to aim liberty. He did a lot of involvement
for the independence of our country by applying his knowledge, skills,
experiences, ability, and losing his life.

2. What is Rizal’s attributes and values that you want to possess as a Filipino College
student? Record your answer (audio) and send it directly to my account in messenger.
As a Filipino college student taking up a bachelor of science in
entrepreneurship, I want to possess attributes of Rizal as being exceptional. I
want to become exceptional as Jose Rizal wherein I want to use my
intelligence, not only for the good sake of myself as well for the goodness of
all. I want to use my voice to influence others about the importance of life,
education, education, and empowering equality behind our diversity. When
it comes to the values of our hero’s Jose Rizal. As a student I am humble,
helpful, strong, and courageous. As what I am doing right now, I m helping
my fellow students when they’re asking about our class meeting schedules
and sharing reliable information regarding with school’s activities and other
important notice.
All in all, by arming those attributes and values inspired by Jose Rizal
in myself will help me to become a better person with a good heart. It guides
myself in a right journey. Additionally, I helped others without asking for its
returns. In that way, we can have a better country with a better people. We
can build a unity behind our diversity. That’s would be all thank you! God
bless and keep safe.

3. Reflect from this saying and expand. “Heroes are not born, they are made”.

We people are born unique. We have different name, family and origin of
place. We start to learn from our surroundings with our parents, relatives, and
neighbors. We molded as a citizen based on what we saw and how we treated. Its just
like in this saying “Heroes are not born, they are made”. Why people are not born to
become heroes immediately?

We as human being are born exceptionally. Even though there are identical
twin cases but still their DNA is not completely the same with one another. We people
are born to conquer life. Everyday has different plans, ideas, tasks, and challenges that
gives us lessons on how to be strong and prepared. We should not stop when we face
problems, in fact it will serves as our lessons on how to deal life in this world. When
we are failed just stand and face it again. Those hardships will build our self into
better. We are so lucky since we have different knowledge, skills, ability and
experiences gains from our past. We should endure it not for ourself only but we
should share it to others. For instance, there are some cases that we struggling too
much difficulties made by disasters or human induced. In that way we can really
determine those hero/es people by strongly facing problems with out fear just to save
life of others. In real time, due to strike of pandemic there are many people sufferings
from pains. They are government agencies, frontliners, and medical personnel. They
are working to minimize and wants to stop this pandemic.

The universal idea wants to conveyed that “Heroes are not born, they are
made”, since s/he should be prepared to be strong by facing life’s challenges therefore
s/he can aim learnings that s/he can use in the future for being a hero. Through that,
s/he will be ready to sacrifice everything even his/her life for the good sake of its
countrymen.
