LEARNING OBJECTIVES By the end of the lesson, pupils will be able to
I) List out 5 suitable adjectives based on the given
pictures. (in group of 4)
II) Fill in the blanks with the correct adjectives.
(individual)
SUCCESS CRITERIA I) Each pupils should be able to contribute at least
one adjective for the given picture.
II) Pupils should be able to present their answers
in groups.
III) At least 20 pupils should be able to score
10/10 for the fill in the blanks questions.
ACTIVITIES PRE/INDUCTION
1. Teacher tells pupils topic of the day and the
objectives that the pupils need to achieve.
2. Teacher starts the lesson with the game of
charade.
3. Selected pupils act in front of the class using
the given adjectives.
4. The rest of the pupils guess the adjectives.
(list of adjectives: tall,short, angry, happy,
sad,clean)

WHILE
5. Teacher explains about adjectives and how to
use them.
6. Teacher gives out a list of adjectives with
meaning to each pupils.
7. Pupils are seated in a group of four.
8. Each group is given different set of pictures.
9. Pupils label the pictures with suitable adjectives
and using the adjectives list as a guide. (21st
century activity)
10. Each group present their answers briefly.(CCE)
11. Teacher gives comments on pupils’ work after
they presented. (feedback)

(Pictures of : a beautiful cat, a smiling girl, a


crying baby, a house and a library)
POST LESSON
12. Teacher distributes a worksheet on adjectives
to each pupil.
13. Pupils put away their adjective list.
14. Pupils try to answer the question on their
own. (HOTS)
15. Discussion for answers.

CLOSURE
16. Teacher select a few pupils to read out the
quiz.
17. Pupils who manage to answer correctly are
given merit points which is redeemable for prizes
at the end of the term.
