-When people think of home economics, they often
think of cooking or sewing lessons and associate
them only with women. Many people, however, are
unaware of the full scope of this subject of study
and its influence on students' lives.

-The domestic economy was created to allow

more women to attend college by teaching
them how to better care for their house and
family.
-The first home economics programs attempted
to professionalize women's employment and
make it more successful in relieving them from
household duties by incorporating several
scientific fields.

Explanation 1: yes, because People can improve
their quality of life by learning about home
economics. Home economics is concerned with
promoting an individual's well-being.

Explanation 2: This subject aids in the

advancement of human progress because it
covers major concepts such as food, clothes,
home, and family. For a civilization to
progress, human progress is required.
 What are the skills
required for home
economics in
order to be
successful?
Explanation 1: Communication skills – a good
economist is one who can convey what they have
learned to others who have little or no knowledge of
economics. It can be done in a variety of ways,
depending on the audience. For example,
presentations, reports or individual advice.

Explanation 2: Critical-thinking skills – another essential

skill is the ability to think logically. Logic and reasoning
have to be used to solve complex problems. A good example
of this is when an economist is employed to look at how
economic trends can affect a particular organization.

economics be

school?

Explanation 1: Yes, because the very existence of any

family is closely related to the need for everyday
domestic work. Not only material well-being but also
moral background and solidity of a family depend on
the ability to manage the house wisely.
