CONCEPT PAPER ON THE UTILIZATION CONTEXTUALIZED LEARNER


ACTIVITY SHEET AS INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS TO AID THE LEARNING
OF GRADE III-VI LEARNERS AMIDST PANDEMIC

RATIONALE:

The emergence of Covid-19 brought about change in the Educational

landscape of the entire Philippines. It isn’t just some minor teaks but a complete

overhaul of how we do teaching and learning activity. This pandemic prohibits us to

conduct face-to-face classes.

With this underlying scenario Department of Education implemented Blended

Learning to sustain education betwixt Covid-19.

In this Blended Learning, Pedro Sa. Baculio adapted the Modular Print of

learning modality. Home learning partners will need to pick modules from their

respective advisers together with Learner’s Activity Sheet.

To make learning more authentic, I have created a contextualized learner’s

activity sheet that can be used by teachers in Filipino subject. The short story is

contextualized and easy to understand.

I was amazed on the feedbacks from learners. They find it interesting

because they know places mentioned, it’s more fascinating to them when the

popular K-pop group BTS starred in the story. My co-workers like to use it because it

cover more than one competency.

TIMEFRAME

The instructional material was made at the start of the school year and was

anchored on the modules provided by the Department of Education. It was done to

be used not just during the pandemic but also in future use as part of supplementary

materials for the learners.

MANAGEMENT

Provide soft copy of the instructional materials by uploading it to the school

drive so that teachers can used them whenever they needed it.
