PRELIMINARY

A. Background

Disaster Event is a disaster event that occurs and is recorded based on the date of occurrence, location,
type of disaster, victims and/or damage. If a disaster occurs on the same date and strikes more than one
area, it is counted as one event.

B. Problem Formulation

From the above background, the formulation of the problem in this paper is about South
Kalimantan Flood 2021

C. Purpose of Writing

The purpose of writing this paper is to find out How about the information about South
Kalimantan Flood 2021

DISCUSSION

A. Flash Flood and Landslide Disaster in NTT-NTB: 167 Killed, 45 Missing

BNPB updated data regarding disaster victims caused by Cyclone Seroja in NTT and NTB. The
total number of victims who died from disasters in NTT and NTB reached 167 people.

This data was conveyed by the Head of BNPB Doni Monardo in a press conference which was
held virtually, Friday (9/4/2021). Doni presented data related to disaster victims in NTT. He said
that in the East Flores area there were no additional casualties today.

On the other hand, Doni said that 46 people died in Lembata and 22 people were missing. Then,
in Alor there were 28 people who died and 13 people were missing. Then in Kupang today one
person was found dead, bringing the total to 4 people.

"Rote Ndao, which initially reported two deaths, turned out to be the latest report from the regent
who died. Including Ngada, which originally reported that one person died, it turns out that the
reported person is still alive, so there are no dead," said Doni.

Meanwhile in NTB, two people died in Bima. Doni also reported a number of problems related
to electricity supply repairs that were hampered after the disaster. He said in the near future he
would coordinate with the central PLN to seek recovery.

"So that electricity services to areas that are still having problems can run even better," said
Doni.

Until now, continued Doni, there have been no difficulties related to drugs to the number of
doctors to treat affected residents or injured victims. He conveyed President Joko Widodo's
(Jokowi) instructions regarding the relocation of residents whose settlements are no longer
possible to rebuild.

"This relocation concept must prepare an integrated team to carry out a socialization program
consisting of religious leaders, community leaders and experts, as well as cultural experts. So,
when people start to enjoy participating in government programs, local governments are

responsible for preparing new places, so that the central government through PUPR can do
development," said Doni.
