Reflection:

Date: 15th July 2021 Day: Thursday (8.00a.m.- 10.00a.m.) Class: 3 Ibnu Khaldun

15 out of 43 pupils joined the Google Meet session. For those who did not join the google
meet session, I provided them with the notes and asked them to complete both tasks. Only
23 out of 43 pupils including those who joined the Google Meet session submitted the tasks
for today’s lesson. In today’s lesson, more than 90% of the pupils achieved both Learning
Objective 1 and Learning Objective 2. However, the number of pupils who submitted task 1
was not the same as task 2. Only 13 pupils submitted task 2.

There were some strengths that I found in my lesson. Overall, I found my lesson was very
interactive and the pupils actively responded throughout the lesson. One of the factors that
made this lesson interactive and engaging was by using the video to begin the presentation
stage. In my opinion, the video increased the pupils’ anticipation to the lesson as the video
was very entertaining and gave an overall view of the what the pupils will learn from the
lesson. Besides, for the production stage which was the speaking activity, it used the
repetition strategy as all pupils answered the same questions. Therefore, it was able to boost
the pupils’ confidence to do the activity especially those with low level of proficiency.

On the other hand, there were some weaknesses that I noticed from this lesson. One of
them was the pupils did not mute their mic during the Google Meet session. It was a bit
troublesome to always mute their mic because some of them keep on unmuting their mic
even after I muted their mic. Other than that, some of the pupils used their parents’ email to
join the Google Meet session and I could not recognize them as they did not write their name
in the chat box. Thus, I could not trace some of them who did join the Google Meet.

Therefore, to solve these issues, I am planning to send a reminder about these in the
Whatsapp group to avoid it from happening in the next class.
