and to ensure that we are well aware of the possible dangers and hazards ahead in certain
situations.
 We need to be aware of the different caution and signage and to follow it because it gives us
awareness about the presence of hazards .
 I can show it by following traffic rules in all places where traffic rules are respected and observed
properly .

Activity 5: Functions of the Law
Read your book page 90 for your reference, then answer the following question below
1. Sanctions can be more than mere instrumental means to deter people from undesired
behavior. By expressing what is right and wrong, they are able to communicate moral
disapproval regarding the undesired behavior and, as such, may induce moral norms.
2. Some laws are difficult to follow, like for instance the law of death penalty, as we know
that death penalty is not the right punishment for criminals.
3. The functions of the law highlights the importance of laws from people’s everyday living
to governing a country.
4. The law help people learn to decide what is right and what is wrong.
5. Law help us to do right, and reminds us that too much of our decision and action can
lead to uncertainty.

1. The greatest commandments of Christ are “Love God with all your heart all your soul in all your
mind” and “Love other people as much you love yourself”.
2. It implies that “we can be sure that we love God’s children when we love God and do what He
has commanded us."
3. The HEART calls to think and seek God, and the SOUL, to give the whole self and STRENGTH the
power to love.
4. I can show love to my parents by obeying them, to my teachers by listening with them when
they are teaching. I can show love to my classmates by respecting their things, to my friends by
showing care to them in times of needs and to my countrymen by reaching out to them this
time of pandemic.

 Civil law, is the law of man

Ecclesiastical Law
 in its broadest sense, the sum of the authoritative rules governing the Christian Church,
whether in its internal polity or in its relations with the secular power.
