1. What is your own concept of physical education?

Answer: My concept of physical education is a course taught in school that focuses on


developing physical fitness and the ability to perform. Also develop skills necessary to
participate in a wide range of activities, such as sports, dancing, exercises and etc.

2. Which is better in relation to a healthy lifestyle, modern technology or manual labor? Justify
your answer.

Answer: The better in relation to a healthy lifestyle for me manual labor because it involves
physical activity to performs such as work and exercises.

3. How will you justify the relevance of physical education courses in the tertiary level?

Answer: I will justify the relevance of physical education courses in the tertiary level because
physical education develops student’s competence and confident to take part in a range of
physical activities that become a central part of their lives, both in and out of school.

4. Discuss the main objectives of physical education curriculum why it is included in academic
institution?

Answer: The main objectives of physical education is fostering physical education and teaching
how to implement it in school, physical and recreational activities and it is included in academic
institution because it is guaranteed to reach virtually of all children or students.

5. How important physical education today? Especially in this pandemic?

Answer: The importance of physical education in terms of healthy lifestyle is very well
recognized nowadays because the education that you have learn in your teacher if you want to
apply it in yourself to make it healthy and also to maintaining quality of life and to improve of
your immune system.
ACTIVITY 2. QUIZ

Direction: Explain how the following activities improve posture.

a. Bridges – as antagonist stabilizers for the bridge move, the rectus abdominis, oblique’s, and
quadriceps get a workout as they maintain stability. Your overall strength will improve as these
muscles groups get stronger. A strong core will also improve your posture and can help ease
lower back pain.

b. Plank – the plank strengthens your spine, your rhomboids and trapezius, and abdominal
muscles, which naturally result in a strong posture as they grow in strength. Developing your
posture can improve on a number of ailments, and prevent the onset of the other ones.

c. Hip flexor stretch – maintain a straight back posture. Tighten your abs and glutes. As your body
descends into the lunge the hip of the back leg stretches. As this is dynamic movement the hip
flexor will also strengthen thanks to the stabilizing function in performs as you lunge forward.

d. Mountain pose – improve your posture and body awareness, strengthen your legs, and
establishes good alignment.

e. Child’s pose – this resting pose stretches and lengthens your spine, glutes and hamstring. The
child’s pose helps to release tension in your lower back and neck.
