1. What did you learn in 1301 that you used in your first essay in 1302? What did you learn in
another class that you used in this essay? Give examples, explain, and be specific.
In 1301 I learn how to look for creditable sources. I used this method for my essay in 1302. I
took a communication class when I was in high school. In which I learn to make a successful
interview and I apply this knowledge to the interview I conduct to the professional player. I was
able to make conversation with him and not just asking question after question.
2. What did you learn in 1301 that you did not use/was not applicable to your first essay in 1302?
What did you learn in another class that you did not use/was not applicable to Essay 1? Give
examples, explain, and be specific.
I learn not to use “I” when writing an essay and I wrote I on this essay. For this essay, because it
was a personal experiment. I had the permission of the professor to use I so it could be easier to
explain how the experiment was conducted.
3. What did you learn in this first essay that can be applied in other courses? Give examples,
explain, and be specific.
I feel that using a table with dates as the deadline will help me a lot in other courses by setting
specific dates to work on an assignment.
4. What do you think you learned in this first essay that will not be applicable to other classes?
Give examples, explain, and be specific.
The use of “I” and personal opinion will not be applicable to other classes essays.
5. How does the creation of an experiment with outside research help you improve your writing, in
general? How will it help you approach writing tasks in the future? Give examples, explain, and
be specific.
It helps me by observing different types of writing and opinion and using those ideas to state my
opinion. It also helped me a lot by taking the time to understand other points of view and
different ideas. And not just concentrate in what I think is right.
6. From the comments you received from the readers of your essay, what are your writing strengths?
Writing weaknesses? Are these weaknesses and strengths the same or different from the weaknesses and
strengths that you had in 1301? How so? Give examples, explain, and be specific. Remember, grammar
is neither a strength nor weakness.
My writing strengths were how clear I made my point. My writing weaknesses is my grammar and
citing sources. I think that these weaknesses and strengths are the same as the ones I had in English
1301. I have not yet understood how to use the sources at is finest. I have trouble citing and using the
information I find.
7. What was the most challenging aspect of this essay? Least challenging? Give examples, explain, and
be specific.
The most challenging aspect for this essay was to find sources in which I could find peer review
information regarding my topic. I didn’t have many options regarding my sources. The least challenging
was the length. I usually have problems to write a lot but for this essay I was able to put enough
information without the need of repeating myself.
