Land Survey:
Using the latest advanced technology, the
topographical land survey is used for manmade and
natural features of a given land. A typical land survey
is all about two-dimensional boundaries, but
topographic surveys include a third dimension and
mentions hills, water bodies, trees, parks, buildings
.and everything else

Previously, gathered information used to be transformed into a map as contour lines. The lines
indicate the land features. These days, physical maps are replaced by digital maps or
computerized land replicas. The digital rendering produces actual manmade and natural
structures in place of contour lines. Our topographical surveyors in Edmond can show you more
.about your land and its features

Using such rendering, that is often made using software like CAD, interested parties or
engineers and architects can make an alteration to the digital land survey to showcase how it
.will look before and after a project

How to Survey Land
Land surveyors may have slightly different
processes, depending on the specific type of
surveying they do. Here’s a quick overview of the
various land surveyor types and the basic
processes they go through to do their jobs:

• Construction or Engineering: This

type of surveyor studies changes in
property lines and identifies the location of buildings and roads with exactness. They
may also survey road topography and grade or determine the appropriate depth for
building foundations.
• Geodetic: A surveyor who uses satellite and aerial imaging to measure very large
portions of the earth is called a geodetic surveyor.
• Boundary or Land: This type of surveyor fulfills the important duty of determining
exactly where properly lines are located.

There are other types as well, but these are some of the most common. Surveyors must stand
by their work and are required to produce accurate numbers. Fortunately, land surveyor
tools make it easier for these professionals to have a high degree of confidence in their
calculations, which include a theodolite and a level (sight level, laser level and/or water level). A
theodolite is the ultimate surveying tool and measures vertical and horizontal angles between
points. Advanced theodolites can also measure distance.

Floor Plan:
In architecture and building engineering, a floor plan is a drawing to scale, showing a view from above,
of the relationships between rooms, spaces, traffic patterns, and other physical features at one level of a
structure.

Dimensions are usually drawn between the walls to specify room sizes and wall lengths. Floor plans may
also include details of fixtures like sinks, water heaters, furnaces, etc. Floor plans may include notes for
construction to specify finishes, construction methods, or symbols for electrical items.

It is also called a plan which is a measured plane typically projected at the floor height of 4 ft (1.2 m), as
opposed to an elevation which is a measured plane projected from the side of a building, along its
height, or a section or cross section where a building is cut along an axis to reveal the interior structure.

Earthworks:

Before the earthwork is started, the whole area where the work is to be done shall be cleared of grass,
roots of trees and other organic matter. Site preparation shall consist of clearing grubbing and
removal of any and all inappropriate materials. The excavation shall be carried out in accordance
with the dimension shown on the drawings. If the soil at the specified depth is found to be unsuitable,
then it shall be dug to a depth at which a stratum of good hard soil is found as directed by the
consultant. Besides digging the earth, the word excavation signifies the all the works related such as
dressing of the sides, ramming of bottom, disposing of any soil not required out of site, and keeping
the outer edge of excavation. Sides of the trenches shall be vertical and its bottom shall be perfectly
levelled, both longitudinally and transversely. The Contractor shall dispose off all surplus excavated
soil at his own cost as directed by the Consultant. Materials deemed not necessary or appropriate for
the project shall be removed at the time of excavation. No material excavated from foundation
trenches, shall be placed nearer than one meter to the outer edge of the excavation. The excavation
shall be carefully executed as per the dimensions and elevations on drawing and the established
‘Benchmark’ at the site. The contractor accepts full responsibility to alien the building and slabs in
reference to these given elevations. Should any of the excavation be taken below the specified levels,
the Contractor shall fill such excavation at his own expense with concrete well rammed in position
until it is brought up to the proper levels; filling in with excavated materials will not be allowed for
this purpose. If foundations are made broader or longer than directed, the extra length and breadth
shall be filled in after the foundations are built with earth rammed and compacted, at the Contractor’s
expense.

Paving boulder gravel inside the foundation with well compacting, and here we do not forget to
spray the pit with chlordin to eliminate the ground insect using containers of one volume equal to
one liter, and one liter is mixed with 150 liters of water and sprayed inside the foundation and around
the ground and inside.

Burying the ground in sub-base completely, and the best type in Iraq is the sub-base, the thickness of
one layer of the sub-base must range between 15-30 cm.

The use of chitates or bests as an insulator to preserve the soil and the regular concrete slurry
(blanding) to preserve the soil, as well as used for the case without evaporation of the pouring water
after pouring or to maintain the use of the soil in treatment. The great impact on the water after
spraying the water.

The map is projected on the ground according to the plan and within the required measurements,
noting the increase in the width of the foundation for the building, as well as fixing the right angles
for each side or corner of the building, and it is preferable that the extension of the foundation plan is
linked with the external fence of the same width so that the foundation of the fence is linked and
within the foundation of the house It is not separated from the foundation of the house so that it does
not break and crack occur in the future as a result of the difference in the weight of the house and the
weight of the fence.

The armament consists of two networks, the lower and the upper
