SESSION TITLE: Seminar Workshop on Radio broadcasting

DURATION: 120minutes
OBJECTIVES: The 120-minute lecture session should enable participants to have general understanding on the different notion within
the discussion of journalistic profession tackling the nature and scope on radiobroadcasting. This seminar-workshop aims to develop the
learner’s ability on enhancing their skills in ethical, responsible and fair way of journalistic broadcasting. Specifically, it aims to:
1. Apply effective and collaborative team communication and management skills to complete the broadcast process from pre-
production script development through effective delivery;
2. Understand the following terms use in broadcasting and apply the technique or concept on radiobroadcasting using:
storyboarding, and effective way of inserting stingers;
3. Select and import appropriate script music, sound effects for post-production sound enhancement.
4. Identify the role of the editor in production process and the focus of the edit to convey the message to the target audience.
5. Evaluate & select original footage as dictated by the scene/script message; choose the editing style that best meets the script
format
KEY UNDERSTANDING/LEARNING POINTS:
1. Radiobroadcasting Provides a comprehensive, easy-to-use introduction to the field.
2. Radiobroadcasting is the primary means of delivering information and entertainment to the public by way of enhancing self-
esteem of students.
3. Radiobroadcasting hone critical skills of students on making and delivering well-prepared scripts to be presented in actual.
4. Radiobroadcasting is a collaborative works to be delivered by a team.
