UNIT THREE: A PARTY

LESSON 3: LISTENING

I.OBJECTIVES:
By the end of the lesson , Ss will be able to:
- develop such listening micro-skills as intensive listening for specific information
II.PREPARATION:
Teaching aids: Textbook, tape, cassette player.
III.PROCEDURE:

3.Warm up : ( 5ms)
-Bring along pictures of a birthday cake , a bunch of flowers , gifts -Answer the questions .
, candles … to show to students and ask them a question :
“ What do you think of when you see these things ?”
-Ask Ss to work in pairs, ask and answer the following questions
1. When do you like to organize your birthday party , during the day -Work in pairs , ask and answer the questions
or in the evening ?
2. What foods and drinks are often served at your birthday party ? -Some students present their answers .
3. What activities do you often have at your birthday party ?
-Lead the new lesson: we’ll learn more about birthday celebrations

4.Pre – listening ( 10ms)
-Teach the vocabulary through explanations .
