II. RATIONALE:

There is no doubt that do-it-your-own or DIY stuffs are fun activities. Be it colouring
with crayons or making miniature statues from clay, folding paper to create origami or
designing handmade cards, there are several arts and craft activities that will surely stir the
creative juices of each pupil as well as the teachers and other stakeholders. People now a
day are captivated with essential oils and scented candles allowing them to have a relaxing
place because most of the time we are in a work from home setup because of the pandemic.
Scented candles are rampant in the market because of the relaxation it gives toward the
user.
With this, I come up to a proposed project which is the making of DIY Scented Candles
for this business is timely and rampant this time. This will truly help our school, which is
the Ramon Magsaysay Central Elementary School, to fix the pathway that is inconvenient
with the students especially during rainy season. With the help of the officers and members
of the PTA, this project will be put into action. This proposed income generating project is
the best way to help fix our school’s pathway and making our school more secure and will
improve the physical facility.

III. PROJECT OBJECTIVES AND PURPOSES:


The objectives and purposes of this project are the following:
a) To have better resource management;
b) To generate funds for the renovation pathway;
c) To hone the creative minds of the students to create handicrafts.
d) To employ entrepreneurial lifelong skills.
e) To provide opportunities for hands-on learning.
f) To share knowledge and ideas in crafting that will benefit not only the learners and
teachers but also their parents and guardians.
g) To form camaraderie especially during the crafting times.
IV. PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
The creation of Scented Candle is the proponents’ chosen product for the renovation of
pathway of Ramon Magsaysay Central Elementary School which is also the project site
of this IGP. The scented candle requires less investment and earning is much more than
expected. With this, scented candle making never results in a loss and it doesn’t require
much equipment. Also, it can be done even in your own homes.

V. MECHANICS AND IMPLEMENTATION:


Pre-Implementation
1. Create a letter addressing the office of the principal on the plan of conducting an
IGP together with its purpose and plans.
2. Create as well a letter addressing the office of the Schools Division of Digos City
asking permission to conduct an IGP in school.
3. Create a plan and schedule meetings and workshops.
4. Present the plan to the principal for approval and revisions.
5. Conduct meetings together with the principal, PTA officials, teachers and other
stakeholders and discuss the plans on the IGP, their roles and responsibility and the
things they need to do to make the project a success.
During Implementation
1. Put into action all the planned things in the meeting such as the workshop so that
they will be enlighten on what are the things they need to do during the creation of
scented candle.
2. The conduct of making scented candles together with the teachers and other
participating stakeholders.
3. Make an advertisement such as facebook ads, and tarpaulin ad outside school
premise. Also encourage the teachers to share the said post so that the post will
boost allowing a number of potential buyers will be reached.
4. Selling of scented candles.
5. Secure a record book to record all the numbers of production and sales.
6. Make an everyday inventory of the sales and production. Every detail that will be
put in the record book, the proponent, the principal, and PTA president and
treasurer must affix their signature for credibility purposes.

Post-Implementation
1. The amount of sales will be turned over to the PTA treasurer for safe keeping and save
it in a separate savings account for easy tracking and transparency.
2. There will be a monthly meeting to present the number of sales and production to the
team. Also, to gather suggestions or other ways to make the project more successful.
3. When the expected amount will be reached, the money will be withdrawn and the
renovation of the pathway will start.
4. The IGP will continue in the next school year to help the school improve other
important facilities in preparation for the possible face-to-face classes.

VI. EXPECTED OUTPUT:


The expected output of this project is a Scented Candle that will be placed inside a small
jar. The number or volume of scented candle to be made per month is 100 jars. Also, the
scented candle will be sold with the amount of P120.00. Each week there is an expected
production number of scented candle is 25 jars. The expected monthly gross sale of the
product is P12,000 having net income of P5,936.

IX. PROJECT OPERATIONAL DESCRIPTION


A. MARKET:
1. Product Description
People now a day are captivated with essential oils and scented candles allowing
them to have a relaxing place because most of the time we are in a work from home
setup because of the pandemic. Scented candles are rampant in the market because
of the relaxation it gives toward the user.
With this, I come up to a proposed project which is the making of DIY Scented
Candles for this business is timely and rampant this time. This will truly help our
school, which is the Ramon Magsaysay Central Elementary School, to fix the
pathway that is inconvenient with the students especially during rainy season. With
the help of the officers and members of the PTA, this project will be put into action.
This proposed income generating project is the best way to help fix our school’s
pathway and making our school more secure and will improve the physical facility.

2. Technical Description
The project location is in RAMON MAGSAYSAY CENTRAL ELEMENTARY
SCHOOL. A tarpaulin will be placed as well outside the campus for advertisement
of the product. The post in the social media especially in the marketplace will be a
big avenue to capture potential buyers.
