UAL L3 Extended Diploma in Creative Media Production & Technology

Heroes (Protagonists) are everywhere. They come in all shapes and sizes and often, confound all our
expectations.
You have been commissioned by BBC 3 to create a drama short of around 5 minutes that conveys a
‘hero’ narrative and conforms to 3 act structure. You must evidence that you have engaged with an
audience and created a Hero a specific audience will identify with.
You will shoot this in 3 separate parts. You will be judged on your ability to convey context and
exposition through visual language. Your success will be clear from the response of an audience of
your peers who will be asked to provide a response and feedback to your work.
It is their understanding
and enjoyment that BBC3 will use to determine whose will be green lit for broadcast.

What you need to do… (Top tip! many of the skills will be learnt in class so good attendance is essential)
