Program Learning Outcome (PLO):

Course Description:

This course is designed to familiarize the students with the basic concepts, principles, and processes related to business organization, and functional areas of
management. Particular emphasis will be given to the study of management functions like planning, organizing, leading, and controlling, and orient the
students on the importance of these functions and the role of each area in entrepreneurship.

Course Learning Outcomes (CLO): At the end of the course, the students are expected to:

1. Execute professional practices based on the occupational standards steps of service.


2. Utilize food service technology in the guest service cycle.
3. Suggest appropriate recommendations to enhance the customer experience.
4. Employ strategies for dealing with various types of customers.
5. Apply basic beverage and bar operations knowledge.

4. Cleanliness and orderliness inside the classroom must be observed.
5. Cellular phones and other disruptive devices should be turned to silent mode. Receiving or sending calls or text messages inside the
classroom is not allowed, except for emergency cases and with the permission of the instructor.

PRELIM = Attendance (10%) + Quizzes (20%) + Assignment (10%) + Class Participation (20%) + Major Examination (40%) = 100%
MIDTERM = 30% of PRELIM Grade + 70% of MIDTERM Grade
