ENVIRONMENTAL PROPOSAL - SCHOOL

Project Title: S.M.A.R.T Practice

Type of Project: Environmental Practice

Location of Beneficiaries: Cavite State University – Bacoor Campus

Project Duration: June 1 – August 30,2021

Area of Project Implementation: Soldiers Hills IV, Bacoor City

I. Background/Situational Analysis

Often schools generate a great deal of plastic waste. In colleges, plastic bags, food packaging,

and containers are commonly used. In other words, a university with an average of 10,000 students will

generate more than 10,000 pounds of waste.

II. Project Objectives

The S.M.A.R.T PRACTICE Program aims to:

• Share ideas to inspire staffs and students to participate in this Project

• Lessen Plastic waste

III. Expected Output or Outcome of the Project

By the end of August 2021, the outputs expected are as follows:

• Students will be eager to make a difference and able to make incremental improvements if they

can see the bigger picture/feel a part of something bigger. A basic switch has the potential to have

a massive multiplier effect.

• Schools will be used as a springboard for larger-scale transition. Many students and teachers are

beginning to follow plastic-free activities outside of school as well.

IV. Risk Management Plan

The following are the foreseen risks or problems that can happen during project implementation

followed by the measures that would mitigate adverse effects as follows:

1. Implementation of the Project

There might be a lot of adjustment happening when this project will be implemented. This might

take a gradual process in order to achieve the expected output

2. Monitoring

It's impossible to tell whether need to reallocate money or repair issues right away.

V. Project Work Plan

A. Pre – Implementation

The proponents will plan the details about the program and assigned a specific duty for the staffs.

The permission of the faculty is also needed while the implementation of the program is in the process

B. Implementation

During the implementation the staffs will take charge with their assigned duties:

• Assisting a school celebration in being plastic-free

• Examining the stationery list and recommending non-plastic options
• Reviewing the procurement procedure at the school and incorporating plastic-free standards

Area of Project Implementation: Golden Acres Subd. Talon 5, Las Pinas CIty

I. Background/Situational Analysis

plastics play a big role in each vendor. In a recent study, an estimated 12,000 plastics per day are consumed

in a marketplace alone.

it from is less likely to keep producing it.

• Consuming less plastic can save animals

IV. Risk Management Plan

I. Background/Situational Analysis

In Asia, average plastic use is currently just one-fifth that level, at 20 kilograms (44 pounds) per

person. That figure is expected to grow rapidly as the region’s economies expand. Proper waste

management starts at home. That is why at a very young age, it is important to understand how to segregate

waste materials.

II. Project Objectives

The S.M.A.R.T PRACTICE Program aims to:

• Practice the use of 3R’s inside the

• Lessen Plastic waste

III. Expected Output or Outcome of the Project

• Each family will practice the use of 3’s and will continue to use it regularly

• The use of plastic will be minimal

IV. Risk Management Plan

• Clean and properly store tools, toys and outdoor furniture to protect them from damage and keep them out of
landfills.
• Turn off or unplug lights during the day. Doing so will save energy and help your lights last longer.
